After decades regularly coming to Saugatuck, somehow we'd never made it to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. It was not from a lack of want, but rather a combo of few different roadblocks: having other things going on when we were in town or not having programming that we were interested in when we were there or just not having anything scheduled at that time full stop. But we finally made it here for a bit this summer and it was as great as expected. First off, I still have not seen a show here, which is a great failing of ours, but we did explore the grounds and the building. It was a Friday afternoon and we were able to enjoy the farmer's and artisan's market going on in the parking lot. It's not a huge market but they do have multiple vendors covering the things you'd go look for--fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, honey and jams, etc. We had a great time checking out the stalls and vendors all nestled in between the beautiful blooming gardens around the building. Afterwards, we head inside the building to check it out. There wasn't much activity but we were lucky enough to see a few artists' gallery showcases which were moving and really engaging. It was an inspiring visit and we've made it our pledge to make sure we get to some performance there this year. I can't wait to see a show there!

What a refreshing way to sit in a beautiful venue like this and take a moment to look at the world through the eyes of the many talented artists that have contributed to this Arts Center! When you visit Lake Michigan and find yourself anywhere near Saugatuck it would be well worth your time to stop by and spend some time here. As Always, Enjoy!

SCA was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! Teresa was very helpful throughout the planning process, especially with creating a bar that exclusively served local favorites. All of the staff were professional and easy to work with. We loved that there were so many different ways to use the space, including playing yard games in the rain garden. The recommend vendors were excellent, and our photos came out great with such a beautiful backdrop.Photographs by Liv Lyszyk

A gem. First class regional theater with an intimate setting. Always a first class cast doing their Productions. Love attending all of their Productions whether it is theater or concert

Definitely the best theatre for broadway shows in West Michigan. I have participated both as performer and audience member and can attest that this theatre has the best production value an atmosphere of any theatre I've been to.

This was my first time at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts to see the production of Legally Blond and it was awesome. It won't be my last time. I'm looking forward to attending The Little Shop of Horror!

Went for the farm market they had on Tuesday. Doesn't seem like much to do there. As well need to bring in more vendors to sell produce.

Love the amazing talent! This is now the second production I have attended, I was able to see " The Great American Trailer Park Musical" a few years back as my first show at this amazing theater and the talent then was stunning as well . Went to see "Legally Blonde The Musical" and was completely blown away at how amazing everyone was . In my personal opinion I think this production was better than the actual on Broadway production, I am also looking forward to attending Little Shop Of Horrors next month ♥️

I kicked myself a few times for not visiting this little cutie of a town earlier in my travels. It's got a gorgeous bay, great dining choices ( I'm recommending Mermaid's for Fish n Chips and Scooters for pizza) and lots of cute shops to stroll through but back to what we're here for: The Center for the Performing Arts! Wow! This theater produces some really good productions! I recently saw Legally Blonde and the level of talent was OUTSTANDING. I was really impressed. I also can say that I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. It's not a huge theater, so your chances of getting a good seat are really good. Ticket prices are fair and the quality of the production I attended delivered. I highly recommend. ? ? ?

This place was fun. One of the reasons I chose this past weekend to visit Holland/Grand Haven/Saugatuck was because The Accidentals, one of my favorite bands, were doing a free concert here, on Saturday night. Apparently the Saugatuck Center for the Arts does a lot of summer concerts, as well as plays and other performances. They had a really nice outdoor area, which is where the concert was held, and indoors was also open, if you wanted to browse their displays, or use their restroom, which was nice. During the concert they also had food trucks on-site and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase, as well as some Accidentals merch. Definitely would come back here for a concert if I'm in Saugatuck again this summer, although next time I will bring a lawn chair for myself, too, as there weren't many chairs available otherwise.
