I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are a pleasure to work with, and they’re always responsive. I had got in a car accident and had a tree fall on my house. In both instances, Trust Shield was quick to respond, there was no hassle or finagling, they paid the mechanics and contractors, and got both my car and house repaired in short order. The benefit of working with Trust Shield, as opposed to Big Insurance, is that they actually do what they say they’re going to do.
Trust Shield is a pleasure to work with. If you’re in SW Michigan, this is the insurance company for you.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Working with Sandi was the worst experience possible. Trying to get ahold of anyone was a full time job and even if I did, i’d have to follow up numerous times for anything to actually be done. Paperwork would be sent to me with incorrect or incomplete information despite my reminders of what I needed done. I attempted reaching out to the owner and never heard back, which is clearly where the rest of the employees learned their lack of work ethic. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for insurance if you want things done and done correctly.

I had been a loyal customer of State Farm for many many years. A few years ago my daughter got her first used car, and when going to insure her, they wanted over $500 per month just for a well used car that I only paid $3k for? At that point I went to Trust Shield and they were able to insure with the same coverage for less than half that amount. In top of that my rates kept increasing and I would have three months spans where they would tack on an additional $200 plus in charges per month, and not be able to give me a clear explanation why. So already frustrated.
Recently my daughter was in a car accident, so we went through the process with State Farm. I received a call from their claims office letting me know I had up to $600 to use for car rental. They also called my wife and stated the same. When we went into Enterprise, they had the same information and we got our rental. We returned the rental on the last day per coverage. The next day we get a call from Enterprise telling us that our rental agreement had been retracted. When we called State Farm, they said that because our vehicle had been totaled that changed our rental agreement and instead of $600, we were only given one week from the date of the accident. They then said they send it in an email, which was true but it was buried in the second page. Since they talked on the phone originally, they should have called and told me it changed. Or said from the beginning that one of two things could happen. Instead due to their lack of communication, we ended up having to pay the full $600 ourselves, and State Farm said they would only reimburse us for the 4 days we had the vehicle that lined up with the week they were now allotting. Had we know, we wouldn't have even gotten the rental. Instead they cost us an extra $500 at a time we had to buy and insure an new vehicle.
Then after my daughter's accident our insurance went up, which was to be expected. For my truck and my wife's new crossover, and just my daughter on our insurance, or last bill was for over $1,200 per MONTH. At that point enough was enough. I went into Trust Shield because we had already started a relationship with them. For actually slightly better coverage, they were able to insure my vehicles for a THIRD of the cost, about $400 per month. WOW! And mind you with State Farm we had everything bundled, were doing the extra programs to save money, and I had been a loyal customer for over 30 years. I wish I would have changed a lot sooner!

Dale Somers at Trustshield has been great, the people over there are quality people you can rely on for anything and he was able to get me insurance when others either wanted too much or couldn't help me, he got me a decent rate considering the circumstances for 2 vehicles.

Even if I could save money with another agent (unlikely), you can't put a value on outstanding service! At Trust Shield, I have dedicated agents I work with who know me and my needs!
