So I was in the self checkout and a clerk comes by and starts throwing things out of my cart cause she was to lazy to grab one for herself. I said I need that to bring the purchased items out to my vehicle and she clearly did not care. I would advised to go somewhere else cause this is the worst Home Depot in Metro Detroit. First the employees don't want to help, now they want to inconvenience you further. If you get an older lady with an accent at self checkout you better run for the hills

Got a great help with a good smile at garden exit. He even offered to help lift those 40lbs top soil into my car which I declined, he offered to return the special cart which I'm grateful.

I have been getting my Behr Chalkpaint at Home Depot for years. We moved so I started going to this location since it is closer to my new home. They have the most RUDE and disrespectful staff in the paint department and none of them have a clue what they're doing. After greeting me with an attitude, I was told they couldn't mix the colors I have been getting there for years. I drove myself and my two toddlers all the way back to the hall rd/Utica store and they happily helped me without question. Will not go back to the 26 mile store ever again.

*Edit* Have noticed a big difference in the attitude and helpfulness of the staff on the main floor. Seem to be much more friendly and approachable. The plumbing aisle usually has the same great guy, very helpful and friendly and the rental department has gentleman that is knowledgeable and friendly as well. Probably a covid issue, but they are ALWAYS out of everything I need. Inventory is usually low, but worth mentioning for now.

They always have what I want but on this trip I asked for some help to grab a few more things wayyy on top and he took his sweet time. I waited a whole 30 min for him and he was in front of me just talking to random people passing even though I asked for help before any one of them came passing by. So rude.

Don’t get me wrong Home Depot is great, but for the love of God bring the hotdogs back. If I had to choose eating $100 steak or a Home Depot hotdog, I would take a hotdog and a lukewarm Coca-Cola all day long. Unacceptable

Staff avoids customers whenever possible like the old Kmart stores. Staff will close off isles to put up stock that should be done before or after hours but never at 1230pm Sunday with customers waiting 10 minutes. This location just has a way about it like customers have to shop there so service is secondary. Home Depot doesn't treat veterans well at all compared to Lowes. Vets discount doesn't apply to all items as Lowes does.

We've been trying to get our dishwasher delivered and installed since June 2020. Due to not having the product on stock, damaged products when it's delivered, not having the correct parts when delivered and then not having an order to install it, we have yet to have this dishwasher installed. Then today it was delivered but the order didn't include installation. We told the guys to wait till we called home depot. The guys didn't wait like they said they would. They went out to their truck and took off. We called home depot and they say they can't get a hold of the delivery company. This is ridiculous! We have been waiting 5 months for this dishwasher. Now it's sitting in our kitchen without the parts we paid for. Without the installation we paid for. And no one knows how to fix this.

Home Depot closes my account with no warning because I havent used card in a year and only opened it less than 2 years ago and I have great credit. Now they ding my credit by closing my account with no warning and all they can do is say Im sorry. Well, I'm sorry I will not buy from your store again. Sorry if your business closes due to lack of sales. Thanks for being flexible with Corona. Bad business practices.

Yeah, it's HD and are not all the same. I've noticed at this location that there are not a ton of people on the floor voluntarily asking you if you need help with anything either. I usually will go to other locations and avoid this one all together. If I'm getting just a couple small items, I like to go to the self scanner, especially when I don't feel like the long chats that the check out people usually engage in. Don't get me wrong, I'm a talker too, but sometimes just want to get in and out. One thing I noticed about the check out is that you have to pick up the scanner in order to complete your transaction. As a germaphobe like me, I felt dirty doing so, even prior to the pandemic and no one was cleaning the scanners as they do at some of the other retailers. If you want to be ignored and have questions on finding things, but no one's around this is the location to go.

Great selection of anything you need for a big project or a hobby. Staff can be nice and the store is easy to navigate.

Although the location is ideal, the precautions are lax with the virus situation. Some employee's masks are down around their necks, no distancing and there are products just lying around, cluttering the aisles. I'm a regular customer but considering taking my business elsewhere until this store can get their act together!
