I wish I could give this Krogers a 0. Tracey at customer service is an absolute terrible human being. She should not be working in any position that involves her interacting with other, or maybe she is just racist. I attempted to return a pickup order from another store here because my coupons did not come off, and after calling management and basically saying what an idiot I am to my face among other things, she told me to return to the original store. I'm going to call corporate as well as the store management because yes she was that awful.

Not my favorite location. 50+ isles gets rather confusing, compared to the 20 or so that most Kroger's have. Organized and seem to have most things in stock despite the holiday season. The cashiers are the only true downside to this location. My experience with a woman named Elizebeth and Sophia was less than pleasant. Elizebeth made multiple mistakes and seemed to get flustered within the few minutes I was checking out. I prefer to self checkout instacart orders due to employees constantly forgetting to pause to scan or bag separately regardless of my reminders, tips, and putting the bar down to separate orders. The older employees seem to highly dislike when I self checkout for instacart, though the younger employees don't seem to mind and encourage the self checkout. Elizebeth kept mentioning to Sophia and I both that it was my fault she forgot to scan a code, though I mentioned multiple times previously. Sophia then got agitated as well and slammed multiple bags of glass items on the counter out of frustration before walking away. A very uncomfortable feeling when employees are outwardly presenting a miserable attitude to be at work to every customer regardless of how kind they try to be to cheer them up, especially when it's a simple position such as cashiering. Uncalled for. Snickering as if this is high school is a bit odd but not uncommon from middle aged women. As previously mentioned, the younger group of employees seems to be much more helpful, kinder, working harder, and always much less miserable when speaking to a customer. Another downside that seems to be common amongst stores these days is either having zero cashiers working therefore everyone must use self checkout for enormous orders, or zero self checkout with at most 3 cashiers working during the busiest time of the year.

This place is a sinking ship. I have seen this place change from a very classy grocery store into some misfit place....The help they get have a blatant disregard for any sense of pride and responsibility, they look sloppy, management lets other workers struggle and barks orders instead of jumping in to help like a strong leader would/should. They allow outside phone/cable sales stand in everyone's way in a main passageway. Some things cannot be helped and I understand that. I do not see how a someone takes a job and comes to work (in public!) looking slobby like this. How does management award a job to someone w/out telling them they represent a company but before that - they represent how they were raised at home! This place will not last too much longer if it remains this way.

I live over by Lakeside and will now drive out of my way to this Kroger even though there is one closer. It is HUGE. Super clean. Usually not that busy. But what really keeps me coming back is the staff here. They make my shopping experience a pleasant one and I always feel valued as a customer.

Me and cousins were joking around in aisle 11 where the drinks were placed and some random manager lady came over with her shopping cart and started yelling at us for joking around. She told us there's no joking around in the store and told us to stop messing around or we're going to her "office". Another customer had to step in and tell her off and defend us that all we were doing was joking around and laughing as we point at the pie and sushi stashed in drink fridge. The random manager with her ugly a** cart did not have to come over and yell at us in front of plenty of other people while we were laughing at the randomest things. She rudely walked away when she was told off by the other customer as if she owned the place

Today around 3:30pm at Kroger on 23 and Hayes, I was faced with obvious homophobia from two cashiers at lane 7 and 8. I did not catch their names, I was in deep shook at that moment. As I approach lane 8 I'm greeted to both cashiers staring me down, laughing and turning back to each other whispering. One had long red hair mid 20s, other one had to be in her 40s. I brush it off and continue to the 40 somethings lane. She expressed that my presents simply were not welcomed with clear signs of physical dismissal. The experience made me so uncomfortable, I chose to go in a different lane, which caused me to checkout longer than needed. As I'm walking away their cackle's grew louder. Usually, Kroger is a pleasant experience but this moment did not sit right with me and I want Kroger to be represented in a better light. Homophobia/Transphobia is not a good look on anyone.

Utter nonsense. I've attempted to purchase items from the deli counter. I have had zero luck. Today I went in at 11:48 a.m. and with zero other customers at the counter being waited on, one employee walked right in front of me twice with no acknowledgement of my existence while the other poor soul was at the back row of the slicers slicing processed meats like she was working in a sweatshop and wasn't allowed to look up from her assigned task. After waiting about 2-3 minutes, went to the store on 21 and Card and the deli was busier but I was acknowledged immediately and got my items in a timely manner. This store can do everyone a favor and close the deli counter- on the surface it appears they have no desire to run it to begin with. But if you must go to the Deli Counter,Come prepared with a squirt gun or a loaf of French bread to toss in the employees direction to get the employees attention.

Have shopped at Kroger for years, no longer. They are not enforcing masks or social distancing at all. I contacted the store management and corporate and did not even get a response. If they care that little about their customers, they won't mind losing my business either.

Your basic modern new kroger. Has everything you need and good prices. Can be a little busy and packed sometimes.

We have tried using Kroger's delivery service (Provided by Instacart) several times. What a complete waste of time. The first order was delayed several times (text notification) only to be cancelled by the company without a reason given. The second order was delayed several days. When it finally arrived, half of the order was substituted with completely different items. Finally, our last order (placed over a week ago) was delayed via text 5 times before being cancelled by the company again. Do yourself a favor and do not try using this service. It is not worth the aggravation. We waited up until midnight for our 7pm delivery that was repeatedly delayed. My wife waited 2 hours on the phone with customer service to be told nothing would be done and we would not get our order. What a horrible company.

horrible customer service at the Shelby Township, MI (23 Mile Road) store. Home Delivery/Instacart online ordering has several glitches. Home Delivery makes multiple mistakes, mess up your order, over charge you, make substitutions when they're not allowed and don't notify you, then don't even deliver the substitutions or the ordered products. Spoke to a Store Manager named Derek who said he didn't care and said both Kroger and Instacart brush off the problems. He refused to do follow up even after agreeing they had horrible customer service issues and got away with ripping off the customers. I asked for followup but he said Kroger doesn't allow for him to address these issues. Wow. Don't shop here. Don't shop online for either home delivery, pick up at curb or shipped services. Shame on both Kroger and Instacart.

This is for the deli person named Lena who just told me I could not see the lunch meat or the way I wanted it sliced, that was there new policy and it was to bad, yes she said it was to bad. Are you kidding me. I am spending the money to shop here and you are going to tell me to bad. However a lovely young woman overheard her nasty tone and came from a different area ( Sarah) and told me she would help me out and show me the slice of meat i wanted. Thank you Sarah! Joke is on me, my husband told me not to go to this store because they are so rude. I will give them props if they are trying to hire the rudest employees they nailed it! There are plenty of other stores to get lunch meat Hello Nino's

This Kroger has been here a while. Probably the past 12 years. They need to get the deli counter in order. The staff is slow and not in a hurry to help. They don't listen to what you ask for and you have to repeat it several times. Extremely annoying. Sometimes they use the number system, sometimes they do not. They FINALLY got some presliced deli meats but they are often out. The bakery is so so. The names goods are good and fresh. Again, there is a problem with the staff being knowledgeable and helpful. I often feel like I'm bothering them. And, as you will see in the pics, this is an example of their abilities. Like seriously, my child could do better than this. The other thing that irritates me is that the recycling center is in the very back of the store. So you have to push your cart all the way to the back of the store. Not very convenient. It smells so bad in the back of the store because of this. It is enough to make you vomit. The machines break down quite a bit too. So right in the middle of returning bottles you're stuck standing there for an hour. Very frustrating.

Thanks Laura for your help with finding my cheese. This is some awesome cheese. Goes great with a glass of wine. I truly love patronizing this location. I wished all employees could be as nice and helpful as this location.
