Gillett's Bait & Hardware is a well-established local institution, offering a comprehensive selection of high-quality live bait, lures, and fishing equipment to help anglers land their dream catch. The store also caters to a wide range of home improvement needs, stocking a well-tuned assortment of plumbing, gas fittings, screws, and bolts. Customers praise the knowledgeable and friendly staff, particularly the "older ladies" who are experts in all things Gillett's. The store's bright, fresh appearance and convenient location make it a go-to destination for local projects and outdoor adventures.
We are from Missouri. Gillett's was highly recommended by our Airbnb host. Great place for bait and tackle. Large inventory of boat supplies. Good fishing tips at no charge.

Friendly, helpfull , and has some big live minnows. They hadn't got in any big fishing yet , or they would have got a five star review.

One of the last stores of its kind, a true gem with great staff and selection! Stop in and take in a piece of history! I first set foot in this Gun Lake institution over 50 years ago, I hope to stop in again soon.
