Melstrand Union General Store is a well-run great little general store, a destination stop during the snowmobile season. It has a wide range of needed supplies and fun things, with a great selection on just about everything including all kinds of Coleman fuel and a good liquor selection. Don't forget the ice cream and homemade cookies. A great food truck outside is superior, serving the best burger, a Western Deluxe, and fresh fries. If you are caught in a pickle you can get gas also. However, some recent experiences note very rude service, with shouting about closing the door. There is also a posted sign about a fuel upcharge per sled, and fuel prices were higher than others in the area. A minimum purchase requirement for card transactions was found inconvenient.
I have visited here for 20+ years. It has been and still is a well run great little general store. A wide range of needed supplies and fun things. Don't forget the ice cream!
