About Tuthill Farms & Composting Inc
Tuthill Farms & Composting Inc. is a family-owned Michigan Sesquicentennial Farm operating since 1863, now in its 7th generation. Located in Green Oak Township, the farm offers certified farm compost, yard waste drop-off services, and agricultural products. The EGLE-certified composting facility processes 30,000 cubic yards annually, utilizing a 2-year curing process to eliminate odors and produce premium compost. Customers appreciate the beautiful grounds and friendly service, often preferring it over big box stores for their landscape needs. Many reviews highlight the quality of the topsoil, which is rich, black, and free of rocks. The farm is also a great place for disposing of yard waste at affordable rates. The compost and soil mixtures, particularly the 60/40 compost/soil mix, have proven effective for gardens, transforming poor quality soil into fertile ground. Tuthill Farms combines traditional farming with modern composting solutions, making it a trusted choice for landscapers, waste haulers, and homeowners alike.

Food scraps and compostable cups, paper plates, flatware and cardboard. Friendly and helpful staff. A pleasure to help our Planet through a local farm. Thanks Tuthill!

Always friendly family owned business. So glad to pay a small fee to drop off lawn compost and brush to be recycled.
