The toughest part of having pets is making decisions that are hard. We rushed our bulldog here because her health was declining rapidly. The vet made sure I had all the info I needed as I unfortunately made the decision that she didn't need to suffer any longer. It is a heartbreaking decision and every person I interacted with was compassionate and understanding. Our Helga is missed. I cannot thank everyone at Blue Pearl for helping her in her final moments. Dr. Winbigler you are truly so wonderful and thank you.

Staff and services were good. Their in-house cremation requires that the remains are shipped to you through the mail. This is very out of touch and I doubt many people are okay with this. They referred me to Faithful Companion if I wanted a place I could pick up the remains. Faithful Companion will pick up your fur baby from BluePearl if you don’t want to transport them yourself.

Not happy that I had to wait until after 6pm to get my dog because of "emergencies". An "emergency" is any appointment made in less than 3 weeks, and comes with a $1,000 premium. Customers that paid that premium were automatically taken ahead of pre-planned surgeries. After waiting ALL DAY for my dog to be released from surgery, they finally come get me at 4pm, sending me to the discharge area to pay my final bill. 2.5 hours later I finally get my dog!!!! The girl that was supposed to bring her out at 4pm "helped with an emergency ", and apparently felt that telling someone wasn't necessary, causing me to wait.

We took our 13 year old doxie here because she was having numerous end of life difficulties. Dr Giese and the staff were so gentle and compassionate as we talked through the impossible decision of humane euthanasia. They made our little fur baby as comfortable as possible, and exhibited extraordinary patience with our young children, who were present. The end of a pets life is something that no one wants to think about or deal with, but Bluepearl truly made us feel cared for and supported.

Fantastic animal hospital. Kind, understanding and caring staff. My sweet boy, Rocco, was so sick with an awful ear infection. The doctor, technicians and staff quickly took good care of him. Rocco is back to his energetic and loving pup. Thank you so much!

They accommodated my boy, Cooper, so quickly and gave me peace of mind. Staff was professional and understanding. I really appreciated them. Blessed to have such a specialized facility that takes care of all animals near my home.

Had to go in through emergency when my regular vet xray showed my dog swallowed an elk antler. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to Dr Maxworthy for saving Chloe’s life! She was amazing and chloe seems to be 5 years younger… happy and spunky.

Didn't end up coming here for the echocardiagram that my dog needed because their price was so high. I was quoted $900+ over the phone for the consult, xray and blood pressure check.... I ended up going to Veternarian Cardiology Consults in Rochester a few days ago, got the exact same services, for half the cost.

I am giving my rating due to not being informed of the cost of a consultation. No one informed me of a cost before hand or during the phone consultation. I have never paid for any consult anywhere. The consult was around 30 minutes and cost $170. I was floored receiving a text the next day to pay that amount, I did pay it. The information received was helpful, it was regarding my cat having lymphoma and how to treat it. I believe they have helpful information, but people should be informed of the hefty cost of a consult. I informed my vet who recommended them and they were not aware of the cost and will be informing their clients going forward.

Blue Pearl emergency services: Endured endless wait, they over-prescribed my pet, insisted on an appointment with a specialist in 2 days. Diagnosis withheld to pressure me into pricey tests. Opted for specialist's advice later. Found out that there was a diagnosis from my primary vet when I called them to see if they got my pets updated records from our visit. ($800 down the drain)Blue Pearl Specialist: A saga of endless waiting for a rushed consultation. I was told to discontinue 4/6 medications from the emergency visit and then to discontinue the fifth after that day. Hundreds of dollars burned on prescriptions they told me to fill the day before when I called to make sure they were neccessary. They asked me to come for another recheck in 2 weeks. When I came to that appointment (15 minutes early as requested in the packet) I endured an hour-long wait only to be told to wait longer. I finally decided to cancel the appointment after finding out they were going to charge me an additional exam fee. I've never heard of being charged for a recheck after a course of antivirals.I have 5 pets. 2 of which are accident prone. I am no stranger to an emergency room. My dog had 2 surgeries last year and we can go to OVRS any time for a quick check in at no cost. Blue Pearl has proven to be a cash grab with lack-luster, subpar care.
