On My reservation for a budget hauling truck stated.. moving from state to state.. as soon as I got in the hauling the gas light was on and the check engine was on.. every hurtful and every Disappointing.. the crazy part they said. it was their best truck. Smh.. But the human in them.. they shouldn't be renting out hauling trucks at all to people.

Scam Alert!!! I hired 2 movers to help me move household goods one Saturday, I reserved a truck at this establishment. When we arrived to pick up the truck, we were told that they had not trucks to rent. The staff member went further to say that they have not had trucks to rent all morning. Everyone in line was upset. I was able to find a truck to rent the next day with Uhaul. I had to pay the movers for both days!! To add insult to injury Budget truck rental charged my credit card $75 for a NO SHOW fee for the Saturday reservation even though they had no truck for us to rent. They should not be able to take advantage of customers like this. Save yourself a lot of frustration and money. Rent else where

We made a reservation for a car in September to get a car in November. When we went to pick it up they didn't have any cars. They stated that maybe they would get one before they closed since it had been paid for. They stated that they had to cancel everybody. Nobody from Avis contacted us.

Called me the day before to inform me that they could not fulfil my reservation for a 20ft truck and gave me a number to call. While they did try, I cannot wait around hoping for a truck, so I booked with Uhaul.

BELIEVE THE REVIEWS DONT RENT FROM HEREI booked a reservation June 15 for today called around 1015 to ask about the parking situation if I would be able to leave my car there while I use the truck for the day. I am informed that he had not only not seen my reservation. He has no trucks available. He tries telling me I must have booked it last night because he has no trucks available and this is for a an 11 AM pick up for a cargo van. Booked JUNE 15th for today JUNE 17thI'm now supposed to wait for a callback from him for a local trucks in the area. With no time estimate. I am moving TODAYHorrible customer service. What's the point of booking a reservation if nothing is available and being told that he's never heard of it. DAY OFI called the corporate customer service lineThe representative tells me that she does in fact see my reservationand she could try to work with someone to get me a truck but that could take anywhere from 15 min to 2 hours Waste of time

Cancelled reservation two hours before pick up. Then on calling 1-800 number, said they would arrange for a truck within 10 miles. Went to that location, drove 10 miles each way, no surprise, no truck available.

NEVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! Rented a vehicle from them to drive to Ohio. Went to pick it up, and the first car they gave me 2 of the tires were low. The second car they gave me the check engine light was on. The 3rd car was dirty and the service oil and tire light was on but it was their last car and I had to take it. They didn't offer any apologizes or discounts. After returning the car I called back to ask a question about my bill and and employee was very rude, raising his voice , as if I had no right to ask a question. I will never rent from them again.

Rental car had to be taken to the shop the very same day by me . Needed all new brakes and tires! Repair shop said car was not safe to drive. Owners turned around and rented the same car out to someone waiting for a car behind us. The car was filthy and the owners did not care out lives we're in jeopardy at all!!!! Would select 0 starts but one is the minimal number I can pick. If you value your life, do NOT rent from here.

Rented and SUV on 11/14/20, ended up with mini-van because that is all that they had. Even when I made reservation days earlier. No problem. Take vehicle with 3/4 tank of gas. Return with full tank. Filled up less than five miles from the return location. I was charged for not returning the vehicle with a full tank? WTH? The told me the fuel charges are automated and that it was a mistake. This location refused to help...National Office is trying to scam their way out of it also. If you have the misfortune to have to use this location GET A RECEIPT. When I turned it in they told me I didn't need a receipt. So buyer beware! They are running a scam operation. I am now a former customer of Budget. Should have paid the few dollars extra and went with HERTZ.

The owner is racist, horrible, incompetent, and a j**** Prepaid $500 for a rental and was told to blame budget when I got there and they were out of cars. He told me to blame corporate and that he could care less. He stated they took prepayments for 177 cars and had no cars on the lot. I told him what my emergency was and why I needed the vehicle. He was non-empathetic proceeded to argue with me about how he could care less, then refused to attempt to help me find another vehicle or issue a refund. Stating "That's not going to happen". He over talked me and shrugged it off basically it wasn't his problem. Word to the wise steer clear. Run. Don't spend money here unless you have it to waste.

A reservation means NOTHING to this company. I reserved a 16’ truck well over a month ago and called 4 days prior to pickup to confirm everything. They call me THE DAY OF PICKUP to say that they don’t have any trucks for me. I’m helping my mother mom from Michigan to Alabama so I booked flights to get me up there, took time off work and we were going to drive this truck back down. They didn’t even care nor were they apologetic about it. This completely screwed up the entire move. I’ll never use them again.

Wanted a 12' truck for moving day. Booked a rental online 5 days in advance. Went to pick up my rental and was told no truck was available and to go somewhere else (apparently a reservation doesn't guarantee a vehicle), no additional help was given. The owner just told me he hates renting trucks. Save yourself the hassle and rent through someone else.

Wish I could give zero stars this place reeks of cigarettes and we reserved a truck 3 days ago and there’s no truck. Called customer service and was no help but tried to find us a truck nearby but she wants us to go to hazel park for one. No just go with U-Haul there much better and always have something available! There’s soo many other reviews about this soo look at reviews. This place should be shut down!

Made a reservation with them two weeks prior to my pick up date, received a confirmation from them 4 days prior to the pickup date that confirmed we were all set with the reservation. They called me less than 24 hours of my reservation date to inform me that they don't have the truck available, and that there is no other truck within 100 miles. They were not apologetic, nor did they offer anything to offset the major inconvenience (this was an out of state move). I definitely would steer clear of them. They said all of their 26 ft trucks are in the shop for service....

me start from the start. Got a 12 foot truck to be picked up and dropped off at the Southfield, MI location. 2 days before pick up day they sent me a confirmation. The day before they canceled on me (after sending a confirmation) and made me do the work to get another truck. FOUR hours later I finally book another truck to be picked up from their Birmingham, MI location. (They did give me 20 free miles which is the only good thing they did) I get to Birmingham location day of and they are showing me the charges and I said that it wasn't in my confirmation. They were telling me that I had to return the truck by 1 pm or I would be charged another day or a late fee. I said that this was uncalled for because my Southfield confirmation was for 24 hours, and they backed me up an hour coming to this location. After rushing to move, I got the truck back to them by one o'clock. They added a fee that I never agreed to, and did NOT show up on ANY paperwork before that point. How easy is it for them to add a new fee once the service has already been used? I ended up calling customer service from in the building again, since the person in the store had zero powers, despite being the only one there. Customer service did nothing. They kept saying the charge was "justified" but it was not because they added it AFTER I used the service with no agreement to it. Worst experience ever. Worst customer service. Do NOT use.
