Great group of guys here. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. Harvey and his team are excellent. They’ve helped me and a few relatives out to get the best rates. Highly recommend.

I am looking for a local mortgage company, as soon as they put my credit score, I had received more than 50 phone calls. Capital mortgage was one of them and at least made over 10 times call by difference loan officer, even though I told them put me in their do not call list, the are continuing bother me.

Beware! they will mess u around ,lie and i have over 800 credit score and Mike Cohen was slow to do anything and at closing (my first house} people asked did i get a gift card or something? Nothing, Made my first house purchase very stressful, had me giving him all the paper work he asked for and he would ask for it again and again saying i never gave it to him when i handed it to him! Beware! There is so much more, the Worst!

Becky's the Best! She Closes Fast & Furious! I am super pleased and impressed with Rebecca Alley of Capital Mortgage Funding and how hard she works going above and beyond and the extra extra mile for a client. I saw her in action and how she operates and really cares about people when she got my client approved. She has an unbelievable amount of patience. I was hooked from that day forward. I brought her another client that was not approved elsewhere and Becky got it done! She does not disappoint. She is one of a kind. She is both down to earth, personable and a bona fide pro! She has lots of energy and burns the night oils working for clients.

Sam is the ultimate professional when it comes to mortgages. I have referred several clients to him ,and he has treated them with respect, and provided excellent service.

The worst mortgage company ever. The loan officer Michael Ambrozy take his sweet time and intentionally delays the process. I found a new lender and we are schedule to close in a week it took this guy 5 weeks just to get a conditional approval then in his mind created additional stipulation that underwriting never requested.

Harvey Freed is the best in the business! He worked miracles for my family. When everyone else said no, Harvey said “Hold my beer” (not literally)...But he worked just as hard for this as we did, and for that, we’ll always be grateful. Thank you, Harvey!

My wife and I were referred to Capital Mortgage by a friend. We finally closed on our first home and honestly have nothing positive to say about the experience. Very poor communication from the loan officer. We started the application process with them in June and didn't close on our house until November. Dealing with this company has been a struggle from start to finish. Save yourself a lot of time and money and go elsewhere.

Unsure how there is a 4.0 rating. Recently went through the process for my very first home purchase. The said lender (Peter) was referred to me by a friend, so I took his word. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. Closing was supposed to have been mid-December. Week before closing had to jump through hoop after hoop. Then the holidays and closing pushed. Then waiting for the state approval. And pushed 2 more times after that. No communication whatsoever . Never explained a single thing and couldn't even provide an decent answer when I would ask. Did not communicate with my realtor and would take her off email responses even though she was copied. Harassed my HR department for a 3rd employment verification which could have but thankfully did not affect my job. Took countless hours off work and/or distracted trying to get the proper documents. Thankfully, my boss is understanding. Closing day arrives and they didn't include my homeowners insurance so I ended up having to get a cashier's check in the final hours. Because yet another call was dropped. Lender (Peter) never explained the final numbers. High five to the title company for going over that. Because lender (Peter) failed to do his job. But had time to hop on a plane and not provide any information to anyone in the office. Don't waste your time. Do your research, read reviews, and always double check a friends reference. I'll never refer this company and or the particular lender to anyone. Wouldn't want anyone else losing sleep because they didn't if or where they would be living. Stress isn't worth it folks. Lenders are supposed to work for you and make the process easy. Instead, what should have been one of the happiest moments turned into a nightmare.

Be very careful if you are considering asking this company for their current mortgage rate. They will run your credit report without your consent! Then if you don’t go with their company they will harass you and your realtor.

Seen this lender under my job discounts page and if u utilize the discount the rate goes up. “ He also states that they treat ppl from my job as family”. No congratulations call after signing, it’s strictly business! Was supposed to close June 30th as we have discussed several times when I initially applied for the loan, then COVID happened and once we were back on track and all my documents submitted I still could not get the clear to close because they were so behind. I had to come out of additional money for another months rent since I could not close until July 7th. I felt like a number not a client. Still looking for who offered them as a discount so it can be removed from my employers site because there is not a $1250 discount. Also my realtor found it very hard to get in touch with the lender. Everyone who has asked who I went thru I have told to go thru Quicken, or some place else.

John Teweles and team were amazing. When things out of their control came up with the builders of our new home they were flexible and kept me up to date on everything. I highly recommend working with John and his team.

John was great to work with, and made the process very easy, no games, no hidden fees and beat very interest rate. Very upfront and very professional, I interviewed several mortgage places, nobody tipped Johns very real and honest approach. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone to make the process of buying a home easy and not complicated.
