Large salvation army store in oak park area. They are an active staffed drive thru & dropff donation center so they get lots of goods, clothes, furniture, dishes, jewelry, sports goods, kitchen stuff, etc. It will take time to go through it all to find good buys but I have. If you're donating near year end there can be a line of ?

I went there for Black Friday 2023. Rude cashier. Totally unsympathetic about my disability. It was a frustrating experience all around that led to me leaving my items on the counter and walking out. I will never come back to this store.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! If there was a negative star point, it would be negative 10. I spent $70 only to be insulted by the 62yr old (she told me her age, as if) cashier. Even after I told her she was being insulting, she never apologized, just kept on commenting about my looks. "How I'm blessed to look so young as old as I am." Im not even old, and she kept insisting I was, quoting 20yrs older than I am. She never even asked to see my I.D. with my credit card, to confirm my age. She just wanted to be very unkind. I have never been so humiliated in a public place before, as I was in this store today. I will not be returning. I guess she gets her way. I would not recommend this store. Professionalism goes a long way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I rate this location 0 stars, I purchased a couch from this location when I asked for help I was made fun of and told good luck by 4 workers who then watched me load and lift the couch on to the cart by myself and into my car by myself while I loaded the couch into my car they stood outside and watching and laughing I will never return to this location and I would advise everyone else to do the same if you do go don't expect any help.

No help loading furniture, in fact the employees watch you struggle and heckle you while you load your new couch yourself. Won’t go back there.

I wish it were possible to give negative number ratings. This store would get a resounding -1000! Friday and Saturday are 5 for $5 color of the week clothing. For at least the past three months, you can't get into the men's department (if you're a man) for all of the women with shopping carts (some more than one) filled to the brim with men's clothing. You're think it was Black Friday. Today I got here at 10:10. They open at 10:00. They there were few choices. I'm insulted as a man at the selfishness and inconsideration. I watched no fewer than 15 men leave the store empty handed while the women look at you like you smacked their momma for even being there. Five years ago this was my favorite store. It's sucks that in this country such behavior is applauded/celebrated/rationalized while we create laws prohibiting men wearing women's clothing. I won't waste my time coming back here.

I have donated several times an also brought several items an never in my life an have never ever been told they can't take a item my personal feeling from being a mother of 4 an have been on hard times an the have helped me out so being a type of person that like to give back with compassionate empathy I do my best to give backin all ways possible I believe that this was unfair so I think that the salvation army should re-evaluate their process of taking items that it was a night stand table and it just needed some TLC sincerely unfair to those in

Very rude people at back who take your donations. And carelessly pitch your donated items into a pile. They broke one of my donated items while I watched.Dont waste your gas. Go elsewhere where your items can be sold to help someone.
