If you love a pharmacy that is consistently out of stock, has poor customer service, and puts you on hold for 30+ minutes, then this is the pharmacy for you!

We have dealt with this location for years. We have never experienced the challenges we are reading about. They have unfailingly been kind, helpful and knowledgeable.Kathy Ferris

The pharmacy staff is very rude and unhelpful. They talk to you like you are bothering them and they don't have time to assist you. Who trained these people just horrible!

The absolute worst. 1 star because zero is not an option. Doctor called in a prescription to this location. I went to pick it up, updated insurance info, etc. they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I came back to the counter to pick it up they said that they never got it and I was out of luck they were closing. They could have told me they didn't have it when I first went to the counter, so I could have called the doctor. So another night of suffering without the medicine I needed thanks to Walgreens.

This store drives me bananas. Something shows in stock on their website and it's not on the shelves, despite checking over everywhere it could possibly be. Finding stock is extremely hit or miss, so consider store pickup as an alternative to Indiana Jonesing it for your heating pad, Tylenol or bandaids. If you're coming in for a staple and you don't care about the brand - any pop or bandaid will do - then you'll probably find something to suit your needs. For specific items, try calling ahead... if you can ever get through. Pharmacy hold times here -- or the generic clerks -- are brutal. I don't even bother with prescription pickup because I've found it very difficult to communicate with the pharmacy. Are they chronically understaffed? Maybe. I don't often see waits in the drive thru but at the counter, it seems to move glacially slowly. What it's got going for it: a big, well-lit parking lot (most of the time) you can easily access from southbound Greenfield or eastbound 12 Mile. Getting in and out is usually not an issue. The cashiers lately have been nice when I've had to pop in.

I appeared on 5/31 at 7:15 pm for a Covid booster. After checking in, the pharmacist made a medical determination that I am not immunocompromised and therefore refused to administer a booster.I self-attested after my doctor specifically recommended I get a 2nd booster. Now I must returning tomorrow to request this decision in writing, should I contract Covid and suffer complications due to my compromised immune system.I also need to find a pharmacy that follows my doctor’s orders.A pharmacist is not authorized to make the medical determination that a customer is not immunocompromised. That’s the whole purpose of the self-attestation. Pharmacists are not medical doctors.Furthermore, Its humiliating to be questioned in front of customers about my medical history and diseases. It’s also a HIPAA violation.Pharmacists that act as the vaccine police are overstepping, and contributing to the ongoing pandemic. My doctor wants me to get a booster for a reason.

I went to Berkley urgent care and decided to send my prescriptions there because it was late and the closest. I went to pick it up they told me my prescriptions were not cover and it was $80 but they don’t have it in store… I said that’s weird but cancel it because I needed my meds that night. Went back to the urgent care and told them I needed a written prescriptions because Walgreens didn’t have it and they said “it’s not covered.” Dr said “that’s weird!” Anyway, went to Rite Aide and they tried running the prescriptions through my insurance and they couldn’t because Walgreens already ran it!? even though they said it was covered and it would cost me $80. Rite aide had to call them to cancel so I could get my meds. So, they are scamming ppl by charging our insurance and in the same breath trying to tell me it wasn’t covered. I paid $13 for my meds at rite aid and Walgreens wanted to tell me $80 and still charge my insurance. SCAMMERS! Don’t ever go there!

Rude pharmacists and they are HOURS behind on prescriptions. Don’t bother coming here. Even if you call first and they say “ready in about an hour” expect to get there only to be told it’ll be another 2 hours before it’s ready. Waste of time. I have things to do and ANY other pharmacy can get my script filled within 20 minutes. Worthless.

Worst customer service in pharmacy I have ever experienced on a consistent basis. The one woman made me wait in the drive thru for 15 minutes and then when she finally came to the window just said “yes?”. I had received a notification that my medication was ready and after waiting 15 minutes was told it wasn’t. I was not apologized to and the woman who is always rude just shrugged her shoulders. This is always my experience when this woman is working. If I could give it 0 stars I would! I will be transferring my medication to another pharmacy.

UPDATE: Lauren was very helpful and resolved the problem.I’ve been getting my meds here for years, but Walgreens has screwed me over. My doctor ordered me a 30 day supply of a medication, and they only gave me 20 pills. (I know this because the box says 20.) When I called them, they said they could give me 10 pills, but then they cancelled my order because my insurance won’t cover early pickup. It’s not my fault Walgreens screwed up!!! Now I’m going to have to go without my medication for 10 days!

There is one pharmacist at this Walgreens that is not only rude but downright disrespectful. I was prescribed a new medication and the other pharmacist (who was very kind) was informing me of the interactions this new medication could have with my current ones. I thanked her for telling me and said that my doctor did not tell me that. The rude pharmacist mumbles under her breath “well youre the one who should have asked.”I’ve seen many complaints about this woman on here and I am so tired of her God awful attitude. I am not a doctor nor a pharmacist so if I don’t know about a medications interaction that sure makes a lot of sense. Just a horrible woman, makes me sick when I see her. I live half a mile from this Walgreens and usually drive down to the One on Woodward because of this ONE woman. I wouldn’t trust someone like her handling my medications.

I've been going to Walgreens for more than 20 years across three different states. This particular Walgreens is the worst! The pharmacy staff including the pharmacists are rude and incompetent. They will allow prescriptions to sit in "being reviewed by pharmacist" for days. I have to go into the store and and basically demand they finish filling my prescription in order to get my meds before I am totally out. Every month is a conflict just to pick up my meds. My prescription insurance limits where I can get my meds from so it's either Walgreens or home delivery. Since moving to the area I have changed locations 4 times. However as bad as the other three locations were, this one is the worst so far. I have two different doctors I see because of some serious health issues. Both doctors have voiced their frustration of dealing with Walgreens every time I see them. I'm currently trying to get different prescription insurance so I can go elsewhere, but for now I have no choice but to deal with them. Every month I dread having to get my refills. This monthly frustration only makes my anxiety worse. It is a sad situation when something as simple as getting medication refills turns into a battle every month, and it seems to be getting worse. My advice is to go to a local independent pharmacy if at all possible. Once I have some different insurance I will never go to another Walgreens.
