10/24/2025 At noon I came to the store to get nitrile gloves, because my company can't afford PPE for there employees. The cashier was extremely friendly to the gentleman in front of me. Made plenty of eye contact and smiled. When asked if he was a rewards member he said yes. Then she asked for his phone number. He gave it and completed his transaction. I came up next, and immediately didn't look at me, was very blunt. Asked if I was a rewards member I said yes. And she didn't ask for my number and just stood there. Still no eye contact. Then I gave her the number she prepared a bag for the gloves then gave me the receipt and pushed the gloves at me.
If it wasn't for how close they are to my shop I wouldn't go there just because of her.

As an older man I appreciate good service.
Took a chance at the grand haven store thats now ran by a BOYager. Cannot in good faith call that a MANager.
Treated me like he was an oracle for his vast wealth of knowledge.
Drove on out to spring lake and 5 STARS! Your staff not only helped me find the wrench set for the bolt I brought but restored faith that Ace is the place to be... jjust not in Grand Haven

Ace Hardware employees have no idea what a Dump cart is!!! Asked 4 employees, including Manager where the Craftsman Poly dump cart is, none of them said it was there. So, I showed them that it shows in stock on my phone, then the manager acted like he knew where it was this time. The girl told me to go to Tractor Supply, so I did just that. You don’t expect big box stores to know product but not knowing what a dump cart is just sad for consumers!! Gas prices are too high to waste my time and money ever going to ACE hardware ever again. They just lack any knowledge. Owning a hydro store I would be appalled if my employees lacked such knowledge! Pathetic
