A driver/truck from this company was speeding and had trouble stopping safely before stagnant traffic, I had to pull left to avoid him crashing into me. I was going north of Hollander, MI. Guys drive like they are in a race all over the road pulling into the fast lane of traffic cutting people off going so fast the pup almost hits the guard rail I see then driving like this daily we call them the verplank 500 for a reason no need to take people's life in their hands for a buck

Get driver's trained properly before they kill someone. Had a drive pull onto the causeway like I wasn't even there, luckily I was paying attention. Seems to be a common issue based on the reviews

Watched one of their drivers run a loaded cattle truck off the road in a construction area. Tried calling the company to tell them about it, completely ignored the call. Boss/manager doesn’t manage their drivers at all. Watch out everyone!

Worst drivers on the road. Constantly pulling out in front of you at an unsafe distance, cutting people off. Driving at excessive speeds. All over the road. Never have I had a run in with a Verplank truck where I thought to myself, that’s a safe driver.

Today, 5/2/2024 at 7:32am on the corner of Savidge St and Lake Ave in SL, I watched one of the Verplank trucks run the red light. I walk my kids to school and the speed is only 30 headed into a 25 school zone. This seems unnecessarily dangerous and doesn’t look good for the company.

I have a 14 foot box trailer and needed to put down a gravel bed prior to concrete. Verplank does not shy away from inexperienced and small load customers.
To suggest that Crystal was help at the weigh station as she walked me through the process and explained the etiquette and safety procedures would be an understatement! She was incredible for sure.
Cindy was of enormous help as well on Friday! She made things easy, and it was much appreciated!
As for the loader operators (and I apologize that I have no names) they were amazing, professional and extremely careful with my small dump trailer. So much so that with each subsequent load (I was asking for 4 tons per run) I started playing a game with myself to see how accurate their loads were with those huge loader buckets. Over 3 days of loading I don't think they missed by 3%! These guys are good!
And like I said, a was such a small customer, but I was treated like the big customers. In fact, every load was in the bucket as I came off of the inbound scale!
Good folks all around. I think that it needs to be recognized!

Poor maintenance on their gravel train, left turn signal on the cab & right turn signal on the trailer. I motioned for the driver to pull over so I could inform him of his unsafe condition m, but he chose to ignore my request to pull over.
