Slowest driver in grand rapids. Missed 2 lights because of 1 semi driver going 40mph below speed limit

The drivers think they are entitled to go around someone that’s being safe at GPI LC Howard specially the driver of Truck 5 which has no right being behind a wheel he almost hit me and two other trucks trying to go around a turn inside of where we were. I had to stop a driver from going after the guy because I told him is job isn’t worth losing for a worthless driver of his company. If this is the type of drivers they hire then definitely not the kind you want to deal with

This is a second chance company like Western Express. If you decide become a driver here, I highly recommend joining the union. The union representatives here actually look out for the driver. The office staff is nice. Dispatch is like most large companies.

Just want to give a huge shout out to the professional driver of yours that I encountered today 7/23/21. We were on US 20 in Indiana between Angola and Lagrange. This driver was headed east and I was westbound. He blew a driver side steer tire @ 55 mph and was completely on the rim. The driver started to come across centerline head on at me (Small shoulder and I was loaded @ 79000# so I couldn’t get over to far)but was able to get it under control and came to a complete safe stop before something bad happened. Unfortunately I was not able to get a truck or trailer number but just wanted to let you know what a true professional and talented driver you have on your team. Hope all is well with the driver.

My boyfriend worked for this company, was lied to about no forced dispatch. Has been forced dispatch multiple times. The human resources / recruiter (Ray Lohner) will straight up lie to you about forced dispatch. This company doesn't care about anyone but themselves!! Very poor communication, had to leave numerous messages in reference to delivery paperwork, with no call back! This happened numerous times were they hide behind there phones! I wouldn't recommend this company to ANYONE!!

Been at Behnke a month now. Super supportive staff. Had an issue right out of the bat with the trucks but got it ironed out pretty quick. It's trucking, you gotta be able to roll with the punches. It was something that was out of their control, but it all worked our in the end. There are a few different ways to be an employee/driver there. There is local company driver, regional driver, and you can sign on with one of their owner operators that have trucks with them. I took the sign on to operator route. Pay is on par with other places in the area. Ownership is open and helpful. Not many office people there to contend with, so it is easy to communicate between departments. Company uses electronic logs. Orientation is only a couple of days so consider that in reference to your pocketbook for these first week. Full truckload service. It's a toss up if you are live unload or drop and hook, never really know. All loads are heavy, not illegal heavy, just 30-44k. Equipment is good to excellent. Only manual labor I've seen so far is occasionally sweep out a trailer and the normal hooking up and dropping trailers. Maintenance is timely and supportive. Paperwork is minimal and simple. Electronic logs take a moment to get used to but is ok after you mash the buttons a few times. In conclusion,,,, I like it and am going to recommend the company to others
