Long time resident and it’s been a good couple decades since I’ve been in the village post office and so I came online to check the hours. I noticed the low rating and so I took a peek at the comments folks had left, because I felt nosey. After reading it became apparent that many people shared similar experiences and the reviews were a reflection of their encounters. Typically I don’t take stock in the opinions of others, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly apprehensive about my trip to the post office this morning. See, I recently became a 1st time Grandma and unfortunately my son, grandman and his mom are all the way out in California. Long story short, I had a lot of gifts to send out. The box I had them in wasn’t going to work and the “large” flat rate box, wasn’t at all large enough. I didnt even have time to begin to worry when the same lady that’s been described in these comments said “just a second, I’ll find a box”. It didn’t take long and she was back and then she started taking the items out of the box I had brought in and began repacking each piece with as much respect and thoughtfulness as I could have imagined. For being a Monday and 1st thing in the morning at that, I was impressed, and I’m very grateful for all her help. I just had to share because I think it’s fair to show both sides of the coin. Never open at the time on the doors but you bet she's never late going to lunch and god forbid you ask her to do her job. Has to be the worst postmaster in the state of Michigan. very rude & nasty attitude

I ship items all the time it is always a smooth transaction. The Beautiful Red Head Woman is very nice and is always helpful.

The woman who normally is here, with the red hair, chubby body, headphone in ear, is ALWAYS rude to us and she always has to criticize everything we do related to mail (I'm not even kidding). We got a post office box here cause we rented a place with no mail service in town and she had been rude about it from the start. She wrote on our mail, left notes in our box, etc. The only reason I'm bothering with a review now is because we've moved back across state and got away from town but for everyone else, someone needs to check in on her customer service skills.

As the many reviews have mentioned below the lady who works here is incredibly rude. Ship quite a bit of packages and will now be traveling to Jackson to ship with Fedex instead. I think this place needs to rethink who they have employed here.

The women who is working there, is absolutely rude. She was asleep when I got there at her desk. Then was very verbal with me regarding my one question. I took my goods and left quickly. She should in no way shape or form qork with the public.
