This gym has seriously gone downhill since the management changed. The equipment is constantly out of order, and it takes forever for anything to get fixed. It’s frustrating to come in ready to work out and find multiple machines broken for weeks on end.
Cleanliness is another big issue—it’s always dirty, and the locker room has a constant bad smell that never seems to get addressed. It feels like basic hygiene and upkeep are no longer a priority.
To make matters worse, even though there’s air conditioning, they rarely turn it on—even when it’s blazing hot outside. Working out in that kind of heat is miserable and honestly unsafe.
I used to enjoy coming here, but it’s becoming harder to justify staying a member. This location needs serious improvement, starting with better maintenance, cleaner facilities, and more responsive management.

The front desk staff members each one of them greek and really welcome members with such a good spirit and the manager Dan has a good attitude and really does his best to the fullest to make sure things are in order grade A for this gym.

Friendly staff but unfortunately it feels like the facility has been going downhill lately. Every-time I come in it feels like half the treadmills and other cardio machines are down. If they aren’t down then they’re making obnoxious squeaky noises when people use them. On top of that the tv on the machines don’t work half the time. This sounds nit picky but when they’re charging $100 startup on top of the monthly fee these things need to be in good shape. Also, the facility (especially the men’s restroom) could be A LOT cleaner.
Unfortunate because I have been coming here for years. I think ownership needs to stop being cheap and put some new cardio machines in since we are all paying high prices to come here. Other gyms in the area are cleaner and better maintained and are not part of a multi-billion dollar corporation like LA fitness. Also, what’s up with only two squat racks???

Love the water aerobics, however the management sucks . Fast talking when you sign up , no mention of yearly fee on top of monthly fee. When I called spoke to Dan/Don( can’t recall ) , he stated I would be reimbursed, that didn’t happen . Called back a week later Dan/Don answered , claimed he never spoke to me . Transferred the call to Will, stated he would reimburse me . Still waiting . I wonder if corporate knows about this practice of fast talking / switch and bait tactic?

This is easily one of the cleanest and best-organized LA Fitness locations I’ve been to. I only use LA Fitness when I travel to Detroit, and I have to say—this gym is night and day compared to the one on Moross. Kudos to the management team here. It’s genuinely a pleasant and motivating place to work out. Great work!

Gym is decent and clean. It’s missing some leg machines. The assisted smith machine doesn’t go all the way to the floor. Wish they’d consider the equipment.

I wish I could give this location a ZERO star. Since October 2024 they were running on 2 stair masters and their excuse was. “The maintenance guy was running behind and that his truck broke down”. Ridiculous excuse. Now it’s March 2025 and they are now running on ONE stair master.
