“First, I have never been inside! But, as far as donating things, it’s very convenient and easy! I have taken a lot of my kids toys that they don’t play with anymore and a lot of clothes! You just pull up in the back of the store and some employees will come right out and empty your car!”
“Very cute shop. Nice assortment of new, vintage, antique and everything sparkly and eclectic. Very bright and colorful. The store was very busy and filled with beautiful beautiful products. Very impressed as a first time shopper. Very cute downtown vibe. We will definitely be back. Looking forward to see what you have in store next time!”
“I had the most wonderful experience checking out this quaint and wonderfully curated vintage store a few weeks ago. Gina was so personable and helped me find the perfect gift for a friend. Highly recommend this place and will be back for sure!”

“Byron's resale shop is absolutely without a doubt the cleanest resale shop I have ever visited. Byron himself is a class act, top shelf stand up guy and is not afraid of a good haggle on prices. Go see !!”
“My friend and I stopped by on a whim and were thoroughly delighted with Nicole’s shop. So many fun things to look at along with a great selection of clothing. The owner Nicole was friendly and helpful. We will surely return with more thrifting friends”
“Great eccentric collection of Detroit, and Michigan memorabilia. Tons of custom things they make for the store, and can even take requests for custom items too. Highly recommended!!”
“Maria and her crew have been absolutely fantastic every time I have referred them to my clients. She Is prompt, reliable, and super efficient. I will continue to send all of my clients to Maria’s Estate Sale services”
“Samira was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the business. I can hardly wait to go back. You will find it worth the trip. She has lovely Vintage and designer, clothing, purses, and shoes.”
“Amazing selection and great deals. Very organized for the amount of product they have. Be prepared to wait a chunk of time on the weekends as it is clearly a very popular spot. They seem to be a bit understaffed but the men working at checkout were very friendly and polite and it’s not their fault if the place is understaffed!”
“I have purchased clothing for myself, my 2 children and my husband from the Salvation Army for over 20 years. Our son, now nearly 20, will only shop at Salvation Army for his own clothes. Daughter, just over 21, only shops retail. She then gets depressed when she sees the same items at Salvation Army a few months (or a year) later! My 4 favorite Salvation Army stores are the one on Van Dyke in Centerline, the one on Dodge Park in Sterling Heights, the one on Gratiot in Roseville and the one on Harper and 13 Mile in St Clair Shores. They are close to my house and well taken care of. They are always clean. I prefer buying second hand items. It saves the landfills for awhile.”
“I love this store! This location is the “spot” too. I can’t even tell you the deals I’ve gotten on Victoria Secret bras, comfy hoodies, North Face, Hollister, Aero, & American Eagle to name a few! Moving up here from the south 5 years ago, needless to say my winter clothing was limited… but the first time hitting this place up I got a CK coat, converse shoes, 2 pairs of Levi’s jeans, 3 hoodies, and a gorgeous Victoria Secret bra (looked brand new) for $70! So yeah people, please don’t sleep on this store!! This Clinton Township location in particular!! . You can sign up for text messages & when they have their 50% off weekends they send you a text.… thrift stores are life! Value World is good place to score some signature pieces! The staff has always been very helpful and pleasant to boot!!”
“I returned back to the store after not going in there fir a while and it cleaned up good lighting nice atmosphere my shopping almost like having a personal shopper team is very helpful”
“This is the *good* value world, to me. I'm hesitant to hype it up too much because I don't want clothes shopping competition, haha. If you're alt and like DIY, or if you're plus sized, this has the superior selection for all of that. I've never not found exactly what I'm looking for here.”
“What a Gem. First time here and I was greeted by Cathy. Just amazing. I love it and she told me about the store in Grosse Pointe I have to go check it out. so many wonderful little things. Very fair prices. I definitely will be back. I was told to go on Facebook and make an appointment if you have things that you want to sell at the store.”
“I went in for the 1st time (last Friday) since it went under the new manager and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't smell like a thrift store and it was totally clean and organized. Fridays are 50% off if you use the blue bag special.”
“My family and I went to this store. The salvation, oh my God, this is the most cleanest in the most organized store. I've ever been in my 53 years of life. Amazing the Gjinaj family is very happy epic. What a great experience”
“This is a high volume store so be prepared to wait more than an hour to get your stuff sorted. If there’s a line of clothing before you that’s waiting, you are probably going to wait a long time (2-3 hours).
Other than that, nice place.”
“Been shopping here over 10 yrs, thru many employees and mgrs, decent prices to insane prices. Long enough to know that the sharpie written 2Y 5B etc prices mean 2.99 5.99 etc, that they no longer bag items, no help with furniture loading, and that this location someone stole the large furniture dolly that they haven't remedied.
I know this location deals with a rude clientele and much shop lifting/ price switching. That shouldn't condone rude, lax employees but I don't shop here for customer service. I greet all the staff with kindness and a smile and its usually returned.
Then there's the donation area. I "think" many may be fulfilling community service. They really don't care. They're unloading peoples crap everyday. There was one tall younger man that was allllways unbelievably rude and miserable. So much that I dreaded going there so we take our donations to Vets Returning Home.
There is also a shelf stocker that acts like you are always in her way. I try to respect her job and give her a wide berth. Yet if she comes to an aisle in disarray she slams things around and openly complains to a fellow coworker while straightening.
It's frustrating when things have no price tag but usually the cashier is fair.
Their price categories are set. Example t-shirts 4.99 pj's 3.99 regardless of condition, they don't examine, they're not a boutique, they price per category.
I've seen managers come and go, try to organize the store, make the furniture area look nice but they never last. For the amount of small things they decline I'm surprised some of the heavy items they actually bother to haul to the floor.
So, I'll continue to shop here, but know you're just kinda on your own. They're there to stock your donations and ring you up. Happy hunting!”
“The best handmade shop around SCS! Love shopping here for unique gifts and supporting small business. Great hours and customer service. Highly recommend checking out The Junk Drawer.”
