They will not pay you what you're worth. So rethink employment here. I worked here for 4 years and went from $8.50/hr to $9.50/hr, all the while upper management acting as though they did me a huge favor. I did myself a huge favor and quit.ETA: 2024 now. Should've listened to me. This place is barely functioning from what I hear. ?

I come to get my glasses here almost every year. Theyre poorly made tho as they would break in only a few weeks of having them, its an ez fix tho but it’s constantly breaking once in a while again. I dont come anymore because they never answer the phone

Very poor quality glasses, they sold me a frame from the exposition, and glasses broke after not even 2 months. went there to see if I could do something and the lady called Yvonne Anderson has been one of the rudest I've ever met. I am very disappointed, if u need glasses go somewhere else not here, save your money!

I ordered 2 pairs of glasses on May 20, 2016. Store manager Yvonne Anderson told me the glasses would be ready in two weeks. The sunglasses finally arrived on July 5, 2016. I had to wait more than 6 weeks for the sunglasses to arrive. I was given 3 different excuses why the sunglasses were late. Turns out, only one of the excuses was true. Store manager Anderson refused to take ownership of the problem. Her consistent attitude was - ..."my job is to order the glasses. The lab is located in New Jersey - nothing I can do about it". This store needs a new manager who understands the meaning of customer service. Stay away from JC Penney Optical at Lakeside Mall or any other U S Vision owned retail optical store. I will take my future optical business elsewhere.

I used to go to JC Penney Optical in Lakeside Mall growing up in Sterling Heights because it was one of the only places that was covered on my mom's insurance. It was always an absolutely horrendous experience.

After waiting 4 weeks for the first 2 pair, I had to wait another 5 for the remakes (per my request as I could not adapt to progressive), I called to cancel and was told that because they were custom made (Um hello, aren't all prescription glasses custom made?????) I NEEDED to take possession of them!!!!! Not only am I breaking ties with JCP Optical but after a long standing (22 year) relationship, I will no longer be a JCP card carrier or customer. Not good customer service JCP Optical District Manager.

I've been going there for years and they have always had consistently good service, and Dr. Hammond is the best ! She diagnosed a condition in my eye that left my ophthalmologist wondering how she (an optometrist) could have detected it. Their office has always been polite to me, but then I've never gone in there with a high-brow attitude, so you know - "treat people as you'd like to be treated". Highly recommended !
