I was incredulous to see how poorly mannered and surly the checkout staff was at this location on 2/17 at 4:52 PM when I checked out at the south side bank of self-service registers. When the checkout station locked itself out requesting a crew member's attention, the woman on duty ignored me and said she couldn't help. When an employee finally assisted me, he entered something incorrectly, at which point the register immediately requested a crew member again. The employee blamed me for his incompetence and for the register requesting his attention. I would request that the management staff at this location either hire more employees to handle registers, train the ones they do have, or replace them with more computers- which probably wouldn't work well either, but at least they'd be less rude.

Great place to shop for all kinds of things, especially food, clothes, & shoes.

Opened half eaten foods on random shelves, hard to get help from staff, staff seem unhappy and stand around chit- chatting or taking selfies and videos as if it were a fashion show, some are very rude and have little patience. The best part about this location is its incredible low prices! Sometimes items maybe marked down n you not know till you go to the checkout. Oh and I highly suggest you take advantage of the Meijer app! Your points add up and totally worth your spending because you can spend your points as if it were cash when you claim your amount!

Good selection of groceries and other household goods etc… but they only have one isle open and pretty much force you to use the self checkout.. then you get looked at like a criminal for using it. They always ask to check my receipt on the way out. They’re always very rude and smug as you’re leaving.

This store used to be fantastic, especially before COVID, with fully stocked shelves and fresh ingredients—one of the main reasons my family chose it over Kroger. Unfortunately, even though the pandemic is behind us, this store still hasn’t bounced back to its former quality.
Key Issues:
Cleanliness & Maintenance: The freezer section often has messes, whether from spilled ice cream or fallen items. Overall, it feels like the store isn’t as well-kept as it used to be.
Underutilized Staff: There are plenty of registers, yet only two cashiers are usually working, causing unnecessary delays. Some employees don’t seem properly trained, frequently calling managers for help. The electronics section is consistently unstaffed—you have to ask someone from another part of the store to assist, and they take a long time to show up (if at all).
Customer Service: While most of the staff are friendly (I even know some by name after years of shopping here), there are occasional issues. On one visit, I witnessed an employee yelling at a customer until a manager had to intervene. At the deli, there’s usually only one older employee working—she’s skilled but slow, which makes for long waits.
Curbside Pickup Problems: I once ordered about 20 items and received only 15. I had to drive back to retrieve the rest, which was a frustrating inconvenience.
Pharmacy Drive-Thru: The staff can be rude at times, and I once didn’t receive a discount I had applied for through the app.
After New Year’s Decline:
I’m not sure what happened after New Year’s 2025, but the store became a total mess. During my last visit, I found hot dogs over four months old, moldy and still sitting on refrigerated racks. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of oversight in maintaining product quality and safety.
Positives:
The staff is mostly kind and polite.
It’s disappointing to see the decline in quality since this used to be such a reliable store. I hope management can address these issues and restore the store to what it once was, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be headed in the right direction.

I am disgusted how I was treated yesterday when I came in to your location to grab my daughter and disabled girlfriend snacks and drinks. I will be letting corporate know how you mistreated a disabled man and his disabled girlfriend trying to use my bridge card that was cracked and your employee would not put the numbers in as you have done for me in the past. So now I had to use money off my debit card that was meant for a bill. Now I cannot pay my bill and am gonna get a late charge due to your negligence and mistreatment of myself and my disabled girlfriend. All I wanted to do was use my ebt card to pay for my groceries and you denied me of doing that and scolded me and made me feel even more slow and disabled than I am. I will be letting corporate know how I was treated and let them know how you mentally and emotionally hurt 2 disabled people by your actions. I will never shop at your store again and I will contact corporate to let them know how horribly my girlfriend and I were treated because we are a little slow and disabled. That is called discrimination of a disabled person.

Prices can be crazy, things have more than doubled. Thought it was because of gas cost, well gas prices have been down, when do the 2.50$ go back to 99 cents.

This Meijer has gone down hill in the past 6 years.
Customer service has gotten a lot worse. Borderline rude. A worker from the fashion department pushed a hand cart right in front of us while we were walking. Almost hitting us. They just gave us a death stare and walked away without saying anything. It’s not like they were mute since they said something under their breath.
The cleanliness and overall feel has gone down. I used to enjoy coming to this location but I get depressed when I have to come here.
I still like Meijer in general. But this location is the only one I genuinely dislike.

This location has some very unpleasant workers there. I’m writing this review so people can know exactly what they’re getting when they’re shopping for other clients.
The deli doesn’t open until 8am, but I was able to write the order down on paper. But, not before this older senior woman (with the sparkling hat) told me she has a lot to do and doesn’t have time to deal with me. This was today at 7:30am. I informed her that we’re all here to service the customer, not ourselves.
As I shopped and came back to the deli counter, she looked at me at 7:55am. I waited and waited. The time then was 8:03am and she turned on the lights. She then looks at a white gentleman then says “Sir can I help you.” Lmfao! Now, she knows I’m here waiting on my clients salami order. The gentleman in matching Lions attire as me says “No, she was here first.” This lovely woman with the sparkling hat, opens the cooler and hands me my already chopped meat. Lol! She had it the whole time and preferred giving the best customer service time the man who is Caucasian like her. That came after me. I wonder why?????? Yes, I did tell customer service, but judging by the way she was writing I doubt she told the manager per my request. I will never entertain picking up an order here at this location ever again. Not only was I delayed due to the lack of service. But, our customers were delayed as well. This issue was indeed racial and I pray it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

They let homeless guys hang out with all their stuff in the front entrance. The guy smells very bad and it's disgusting. The staff is friendly an helpful, but the spot is quickly turning into a homeless safezone.

Wow,the bar is so low for customer service staff. I walked over to the sushi display and a lady with a hairnet is standing in front of the three foot display of.premade sushi. I walked up to look at a package and She didnt even flinch. I was forced to stand like 10 inches away from her while she talked on her cell phone. She doesn't stop her conversation or move which would have been nice. What does she do? As I'm trying to read the ingredients she reaches over and takes the item out of my hand and says "dont hold it like that" I took it back out of her hand and told hero to walk away from me. She goes back to speaking Spanish and doesn't even take a step away from me. I'll pick another store to shop at.

Meijer is always a highlight of our visits from overseas. The options are dizzyingly numerous and the deals are spectacular.
