I have been a member of msgcu for 5 years. I came into the location today to cash a check into my account. The teller gave me an immediate “suspicious” attitude. Called her manager over and questioned me about where the check came from and how I got it. She said she’s never seen me before (I had never been to this particular branch but I just stopped here on my way home from work) and she had been there for 13 years. She ended up cashing my check on the condition I pay my car loans (which I intended to do anyway on my own accord). It made me feel like a criminal and I literally do all of my banking through your credit union. Not cool and weird for MSGCU. I’ll continue going to my own credit union.

Had talked with Michael, the assistant branch manager about my first car loan. During the process he was friendly and quick with helping me guide through what I needed. Though I did not end up taking the offer, but instead going through with my dealership, he was very professional and understanding. Even called me back after and I appreciated his attentiveness towards his customers. I would definitely recommend this place :)

My husband and I have been members for 2 years at this facility with high credit scores and exceptional payment history our identities were stolen and the banks data has been breached my husband is on disability and the hackers would have all his money spent before he even got his check now how does money that isn't there yet get spent Our bank cards were stolen and we alerted them immediately Im talking from hundreds to thousands our bank statements dont have our correct account numbers and transactions don't make sense they say US Debit instead of Visa which according to Visas zero Liability law if their logo is not there then YOU are NOT responsible, these transactions also have Symbols such as parentheses or % signs { } signs card 15 with a bunch of numbers and two places of service not one person in several branches had a feasible excuse for these transactions Because the fact of the matter is they shouldn't look like this banks don't use symbols around your money and Michigan schools & government credit union they just want to hold you responsible for fraudulent debt because its easier then actually working and taking swift action to protect their customers and their rights This bank has a severe data breach they have been being told all several branches for 10 months now people and we're out $60000 dollars instead of taking swift action they have been extremely unprofessional and took our credit card, closed it and held us responsible for the fraud committed against us they even went as far as to put Fraud on our credit reports Im in shock by this banks negligence I refuse to be abused more than I already have I've alerted the attorney generals office of their negligence These people handle our money and nothing is worse than it being stolen from you right out of your ban We've made 3 police reports and an FBI victim report and this bank several branches did nothing to help us instead they hurt us more they kept letting our money be stolen and held us responsible even after going to the authorities so many times they did nothing and dont believe that this can't happen to you your whole identity be stolen and fraud in your name committed all around you because it can happen as its been happening to me for 10 months now because this bank keeps allowing it it is devastating especially when you're bank has no explanation for these strange transactions that Don't make sense because they are clearly hacked absolutely refuse to help, its like we're talking to a wall they don't listen dont hear you DONT READ yet holds you responsible. I've requested a forensic Audit of their system through the attorney generals office if I can save one more person from this happening too then Im determined to do that

This location is not the greatest. I’ve had good experiences overall at other locations. However Madi at this location was super difficult. She continued to ask the same questions even after answering 5-6 times. I would answer and she would try to argue about my answer. My answer never changed, but she would roll her eyes and ask again. Then she would make condescending comments after I would answer. I had several questions but because she couldn’t even do a basic deposit without her rolling eyes and asking 6 different times what account I wanted it in, I ended up leaving to go to a different location. Just very frustrating experience.

Do not bank with this institution. I’ve been with them for 5+ years never had an issue then my credit card payment is late by 30 days they shut down all my accounts until I make a payment. Meaning you can’t use your debit card or any card that has association with that bank until you make a payment. The customer service is absolutely disgusting and it seems like the call center and in-store representatives are always in competition with each other.

Michael at the Sterling Heights location is incredible. He saw me quickly and got me approved for an auto loan within a half hour. He worked AFTER closing and was very thorough with the entirety of the process. His manager Eric was also very helpful in assisting with a slight funding mix up when finalizing.I had planned on financing through a different financial institution and their loan officer had said “oh we can beat the other guys” with confidence. Truth is, they actually can’t. MSGCU’s rates are the best and thanks to Michael, I am the proud owner of a reliable vehicle with several additional services that other institutions wouldn’t and couldn’t offer. Can’t recommend this credit union branch enough!
