We rented two cabins - I will start by saying they were clean and very nice!Onto the owners.. not nice. The two ladies who run the front desk are extremely rude. I booked the cabins 8 months in advance in December 2022 and paid in FULL with check (since they were closed) and had a receipt. Come my trip in august 2023, the ladies tried to tell me the price went up and I owe $60 more. I LAUGHED. They said “it’s like gas prices.. sometimes a week later they go up”… No mam. Does a hotel charge you $100 for a hotel 6 months from now and then increase it to $300 a night and make you pay the $200 difference?! NO THEY DONT. They should be happy I paid in FULL 8 months in advance. Very rude about it. They also said “prices are subject to change.. it’s on the website and brochure”.. you better believe I checked both and it said that nowhere. No place I camp at has ever tried to do that before, red flag to this campground. Also tubes are $30 each when other places there under $20. What a rip. Will not go back. Campgrounds are supposed to be friendly fun, not crabby owners who seem miserable to be there. Should have read the reviews ahead of time as plenty of others say the same, I would have been warned!

Booked a last minute trip and ended up with one of the best sites (#27) in the park which is right on the river with it's own little beach! Kids loved having the river right at our campsite and being walking distance to the playgrounds. Booked the 2.5 tube trip but due to the river being so high and the current being faster than normal our trip ended up only being 1.5 hours so we sat at our beach for the rest of the day and chatted with other campers/tubers passing by ? Will definitely be back again next year and will book the longer tube trip. (Pic of the Shoe Tree)

Rented a canoe for the day on the rifle river! Excellent trip with great customer service! We had a very nice ride with the owners husband to the drop in site, he told us about his time in the military and answered all the questions we had about the trip. Price is very reasonable for how long of a trip. Definitely recommend these guys for a day rental! They have lots of options!

Such poor management, I can’t believe they can keep this place afloat.Extremely rude owners who don’t care about creating a nice experience for their guests. This place had us waiting 45 minutes for a tube ride that costs us double compared to the other tube rentals in the area. Not to mention telling us they would call the cops when we went inside to mention something. Like really? This place sucks!!

Absolutely awful to deal with!! This was my first experience with this “establishment” which was actually a mistake to begin with and I will never be making that mistake again!! Don’t bother with them!

I wasn't familiar with campgrounds in the area. The thing that made me decide on this campground was they had a phone # and answered it. I didn't have to email them first. We got there later than we said we would. The ladies were very nice and were happy we made it. We had a spot right by the river with electricity and water. The Campground is very nice and very clean. Their bathrooms and showers weren't new, but they were very a clean. The ladies I met when we got here are the owners and are very nice. They told me their father built the campground over 50 years ago. When he passed at 92, his daughters took over the park. We stayed for 3 day and really enjoyed ourselves. We rented a kayak one day and floated down the beautiful river. We really like this campground and intend to comeback soon. I wonder if some of these bad reviews are for the River View campground which is next door. For one thing, the Rifle River Campground doesn't have a security guard on-site. Don't believe the bad reviews.

Guys this is not a family campground. It boasts family. From the nice playgrounds to the advertised slushee machine and dippin dots in the campground store but don't do it. Unless you want to stay up until 4 am listening to 3 different parties, get a small sliver of a campsite, pay weirdly high prices to camp, or deal with rude staff. I so wish we would have read reviews before we stayed. Will do that from now on, any campground we stay at.If you want R&R, this is not the place. I booked a site by mistake after my husband reminded me there were two rifle river campgrounds and he meant the rifle river recreation area. So I went to cancel my reservation (which btw, IT WAS $88 TO CAMP IN A TENT on a no electric site ) only to find out they have a 30 day cancellation policy in that you can't cancel basically if you made this even weeks before. So that's on me for not looking into it more. Secondly, we get there and honestly the campground looked nice with a big playground for the kids and the bathrooms were clean (we didn't use the showers) but then as you set up you start to notice how small and close together the sites really are for the price. We brought our lab and it was hard to keep him within the little sliver of a site. Now to where it gets worse. We have two toddlers, 2 and 4. I am also pregnant. We have never taken our kids camping and we were very excited despite accidentally booking the wrong place. We set up camp and are now all sitting by the fire. We notice there is 3 parties going on. Each one, looked like two sites rented to create one big site. It's approaching 11 (quiet time) so we said well it's quiet time soon so they'll shut it down I'm sure. We could not be more wrong. It's now 11:30 and a van pulls up next door to set up camp after quiet time is supposed to be enforced only to find out it's part of the already loud bachelor party. Guys this site just happens to be right next to us. Remember me saying these sites are close together? Yea. Not fun. At this point it's 11:30 and luckily my toddlers fell asleep for their naps later than normal on the drive there so they were just now ready for bed. I'm also pregnant and tired. The site that just arrived to set up camp now turns on music real loud. Of course they did, right? But then one of the staff start their "patrols" in a golf cart to check and make sure quiet time is happening so I'm excited that maybe they'll shut it down. Idk why I was surprised that they didn't. Anyways, they come around another time and by this time all 3 parties are still going strong and I am quickly realizing what a joke this was going to be. Guys, two of these parties stayed up until 3:30- 4 am. No one did a thing and of course there is no cell service and you can't call up to the office. And that late maybe there is no one up at the front which is quite a hike to begin with. I'm surprised they couldn't hear the parties if there was someone up there. My husband, my toddlers, dog, and myself were up all night long listening to college parties blaring loud music, people talking and laughing loudly about very inappropriate topics. There was party games, shot gunning beers, and people vomiting. We can hear literally everything. My dog was growling all night long as people walking to the bathroom would walk right by our tent. No one listens when you ask them to keep it down. Additionally two parties that didn't know one another combined. You can imagine how terrible the night was. I even heard the topic come up of this being the party campground. One guy is hollering over the music saying "yea bro I've been here 5-6 times and each time we get to have wicked parties like this never shut down! Welcome to the party!!!! Yeaaaaaa bros!" We left the next morning. This is not a family campground!! If you want to party all night long with like minded people then sure. Do not bring your kids or dogs here tho and don't spend the money. We will never stay here again.

This place doesn't know whether they are coming or going. Their pricing didn't even make sense. We brought a camper for full hookup and didn't get the camp spot we actually booked for and then they charged our friends $86 to camp in a tent and use a tube but then they charged our other friends only $30 to camp in a tent and use a tube and then we tried to get our deposit back and they said they didn't charge us a deposit even though when we originally paid they told us our price was so expensive because of the deposits. The tubi g trip was fun and we will do that again but will not be staying at this campground againNearby activities: Rifle river

Would put 0 stars if I could. Traveled over 4 hours just to leave about 30 mins later. After "security" accused us going over 5mph, three golf carts then preceded to follow us with their lights off to our campsite. We told them that we did not go over the speed limit. Security response was "Are you sure, are you sure??" Upon parking, a woman stood outside of my car door until I got out. She then proceeded to tell me that we were still going over 5mph and that for the remainder of our stay we will need to park ALL THE WAY at the check in gate and walk back and forth to our campsite. Mind you our campsite is uphill and I am 30 weeks pregnant with a toddler. I told her that I was not going to do that. She then said she could make a compromise If I promised to be the only driver. We did not pay all this money to be told who can drive my car and where we can park when everyone else can do as they please. We gave the keys back and left the campground and will never be back. We felt unwelcomed the minute we checked in. Hopefully the campground will make the needed changes in training employees on how to handle certain situations in the future in response to our complaint email and phone call.

Always enjoy our family time on the river. Great family owned and beautiful views of the river.
