Recently, while driving west on I-94, I hit a pothole which destroyed two tires. I also thought that there could be other unseen damage. I had the car towed to Tyler after the end of the workday. I talked to them first thing the following day. Despite having a full workload, they had my car repaired and I was on the way by 11:30AM. I certainly appreciate their professional service.

They did not explain anything; I went for the battery issue because my car started to get all the warning signs on the dashboard after it didn't start due to some battery issue. Before less than two years I changed batter there so have a 10-year warranty. But After the message that the car was ready to pick up, they asked me to pay $99+ to take my car keys. Also, they still need to fix something. I asked when I wanted to fix it, and I need an additional $430. The manager was very rude, and he signed the paper that he had written -I paid to get my keys. I contacted Legal Services & Honda, and I definitely will drag until I get straight.

We were out of town on a trip when all the warning lights came on our CRV. We looked for the closest Honda dealer and drove to your location. We received a very friendly greeting and your service people told us they would get our car for service right a way. They checked our car out and reset all the warning lights and assured us it was safe to drive and suggested we check with our local dealer, Honda of Frontenac when we got home. It was nice to be treated as if we were local customers. Thanks

You know that scene in Matilda where Danny DeVito is putting saw dust in the engine and supergluing bumpers back on? That’s what this dealership reminds me of. I bought a used vehicle and everything was great for the first few hours. The next day the car wouldn’t start from an electrical drain. The dealership basically told me they wouldn’t even look at it unless I paid for the service, which is fine. So after more money out of my pocket the vehicle is running fine. Today the transmission is acting up and I’ll probably have to pay another several thousand dollars to fix the transmission. While it’s frustrating it’s part of owning a car. What I can’t get over is the complete lack of reapect shown by the dealership and specifically the salesman that sold me the truck. They will belittle you, question your budget, encourage you to take a loan so they can profit more. I later found out the truck had been serviced the day before I test drove it, for the faulty electrical issues. When asked at the test drive if there was anything I should know about the truck he told me no. Not 1 minute later I find out the gear selector didn’t even show the proper gear. This dealership will sell you a junk vehicle, lie about it, then make you feel bad for ever purchasing from them in the first place. If you want a dealership that will give you a never ending headache this is the place for you. I’d be absolutely embarrassed to say I work for a scummy money hungry dealership like that. You are nothing but an atm to these salesmen

Great service dept, but I just had a very expensive 30,000 mile service done and as I go to pay I am informed I have to pay 3% more to pay with a credit card. Absolute horrible thing to happen. Next service on my car will be at a place that does not charge extra to accept payments.

I really wasn’t intending on buying a car and I was never pressured at all to buy one. Everyone that I interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. Shiana Masterson and Justin Jolley spent all of the time necessary to help guide us through the final decision to purchase the car.

Tyler Honda: Ethically and Morally Unsound Bottom Line Up Front: There is no trophy to be earned from being an unethical, immoral car dealer. Tyler Honda has that locked down TIGHT.On Thursday, Aug 24th my wife and I went to Tyler Honda in Stevensville, MI with the intent of trading our 2016 Accord Sport. I did my research on Kelly Blue Book before going. The good condition (mechanically sound with small cosmetic issues) for trade in was rougly $16-18,000. After receiving the initial low-ball offer, I explained this to them. Wanting to make the sale, a person I was told was the manager, came out with a JD Power printout stating he could only ethically sell our car for about $18,000, so there was no way they could give us that. Begrudgingly, we settled on $14,300. Their finance person wasn't at work that day, so I came back the next day, Friday, Aug 25th to sign the paperwork. After almost a week, we thought we'd like to have our car back as a third, spare vehicle. I texted our salesman and he said we couldn't get it back at our tradin in value, but I quote, "Hey Steve I just got with management and this is what they had to say. They say the vehicle has been ran through service and we've put some money into it. So it would be more than what it was traded in for, but we would definitely work with you guys. If you can make it in and take delivery of it before close of business Thursday we will make it worth your while." So, my wife and I go back on Thursday. We sit and wait for the formal, written offer our salesman must get from his manager. Remember the quote about making it worth our while? I guess that means slapping us in the face with a proposed listing of over $20,000! Don't worry though, we were also offered a very special discount of approximately $1,600. Now, I can see paying $15,300 to get it back. That is if they put a new windshield in (They told us this had to be done with the chip on the driver's side), and if they took the time for inspection, fluids, and filters. I'm really curious if they did any of that yet. Now what further lead insult to injury was that yesterday evening, Sep 1st 2023, my wife showed me they listed it to the public for $19,054. I guess that our special discount is going to the public too. Buyer Beware. This car is in excellent condition, but they only paid $14,300 for it. They may have installed a windshield. We strongly recommend shopping for a used or new Honda elsewhere, but maybe you enjoy the feeling of being held hostage while the salesman can't answer any questions himself, and continuously goes to the manager's office to have private discussions. Our advice: STAY WAY! We also echo other people's statements that we would give 0 stars if that was a choice.

It was excellent everyone was very friendly and very helpful. Amos the salesman helping me was very quick to answer any questions I had. He showed me all the features of the car. I would do business again with Tyler Honda.

We were visiting the area and had a transmission issue on our Odyssey. Rachel was very knowledgeable on the phone and guessed it was likely a sensor. She got us in the same day, and the tech confirmed the diagnosis. They ordered a part that came in the next day and even arranged for a courtesy shuttle so my wife and I could enjoy our anniversary while the van was in the shop.

The repair side is great. The business side, not so much. The blame game is played and no one seems to want to take responsibility for what is going on in their dealership. It’s always the other departments fault. They didn’t seem to care. It wasn’t their problem. I work out of state. I made an appointment for a service. I live two hours from Tyler Honda. The service I scheduled in advance, wasn’t performed. I was told I could wait till the guy came in and that he hasn’t been there yet. I asked when he would be there. Apparently he had already been there earlier. No one bothered to contact me to let me know that I needed to schedule an earlier appointment. I was told I should have talked to someone in person instead of scheduling on line where I was directed. Really dissatisfied customer. Would not recommend anyone to purchase from this dealership

I arrived without an appt and the service department was able to take care of me. I was very pleased with their customer service. The price was VERY reasonable. I purchased my car there and have had it serviced there every time. I will continue to do so.

My grandfather and dad bought a car here no problem. Then I took in my 2007 Camry to trade in for a 2012 Honda CRV. They offered me only $1500 for it. Which seemed awfully low. I ended up selling it to a friend and purchased the CRV.I was told I got two free oil changes when I purchased the vehicle. Well, it is literally impossible to make an appt. I called several times to just get voice mail during business hours, never got a call back. I even made an appt online on their website and never got confirmation or anything on it. Took my car to Performance Plus in Stevensville for an oil change instead. They are nice there. DO NOT even try to take your car in to Tyler Honda for service.Ok time for the next story....I brought my husband here to purchase a 2007 Ford Ranger. I thought okay it can't be that bad right. Well they were being total jerks when we asked for $1000 off because we pointed out a few cosmetic repairs we want to make and the frame was a little rusty. As we were test driving we asked "Is there anything we need to know about this truck?" We were told nope it's all good. Well we immediately noticed the gear shifter was off. When you are in Drive it said we were in Gear 2 for example. We thought ok easy fix anyways and moved forward in purchasing the truck.Well...literally the next day the truck DIED in our work parking lot. We called and told them about it and were told it was an "as is" vehicle. Okay we get that but this shouldn't be happening after spending ten thousand dollars at a dealership. This is the kind of sketchy thing that should happen if you buy a car off the side of the road right? We jumped the truck and got home and to Auto Zone. The battery is BRAND NEW and charged at 100% and the alternator and starters tested fine. So what the heck is going on? Next day...the truck is dead again. We have called countless times to ask for help and every single person on the phone has been the least bit helpful. They refuse to make this right. They claim that the truck has never acted up before but we feel like that was a LIE. The salesman even admitted on the phone to knowing the gear shifter was off and to make sure we had it fully in park. Even though in person he said everything is fine in the truck. HAH.DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THESE PEOPLE. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Amos seemed to understand what I wanted out of the car even though I changed my mind about the color. I never felt taken advantage of or pressured by him to buy or lease anything he was informative and willing to work with me. I came back three time and two out of the three times I got to work with Amos and both times I came back wanting to buy the CRV. Once it came to the lease process Justin blew it out of the water. His computer may not have been on the same level as him he never skipped a beat. His costumer service was on point and walked away knowing where all my money was going. The day before I was to bring in my car a little something happened and Amos reached out to Brian and both men saved my day and I can not thank them enough. I will continue to buy my vehicles from Tyler!
