Food and service are great, the pizzas are artisan and wood fired. Love the food and the people, well worth the trip.

This place is the diamond in the rough in Leelanau peninsula! Great food, great service yet more importantly a testament to a local business that strives to please! Bistro Polaris is phenomenal! While you are there…go visit Chris in the Tasting room and don’t forget to stay at the amazing Black Star Farms mansion for a weekend of being pampered and luxury accommodations!!!!

I have had dinner here at least twelve times and not once was I even close to disappointed and that’s given the very high expectations that have been earned along the way. I was raised in the hotel management /restaurant field which included the Greenbrier, Everglades Club, Banff Springs, Castie Harbour and Yosemite. So high expectations run in our family. Bistro Polaris really is enjoyable. They have a pizza and pinot special that is really good at a great price. I actually came twice during restaurant week and they extended the restaurant week by a week so I will be here a few more times. Same great food with a great special price. Chef John and team are super. This is my wife’s favorite winery and the Bistro Polaris her favorite food/ overall enjoyable place. What a combo. Can get glasses of wine from the winery. Jessica the manager is so friendly and efficient. Paul is very solid as well. Atmosphere is very comfortable. Love sitting across from the pizza oven on a cold evening. Love how friendly people are. Come to dinner and leave with new friends. So comfortable and “warm”. Really can’t recommend enough. Might need a reservation as it’s not a big seating area. Highly encourage you to check it out especially after the wine tastings across the street. In the winery during the winter the mulled cherry wine with brandy. WOW

I am almost loathed to leave such a wonderful review because I want this place to remain a hidden gem for those of us that live here in the area. This place is the perfect place to come for a lovely brunch with your girlfriends, or a special meal with your significant other. It’s stylish while remaining classic. The food is delicious and fresh but not intimidating. Truly a wonderful experience!! I highly recommend Bistro Polaris!

The food. The ambiance. The flipping delicious cookies. Stop what you’re doing and plan a brunch here. We got there and the horses were having their breakfast in the pasture. We were offered rosemary citrus water and Mimosas. Every course was delicious. I can’t stress this enough that I would live at Black Star Farms.

We were so excited to try the Bistro for our first time. We had family up from down state and were all VERY disappointed. The menu did not have many options. We chose salads and margarita pizza. The salads were good, the pizza tasted like tomato soup and grilled cheese, the pizza crust was not done and watery in the middle. Very very overpriced!
