For the last several years we was going to Megan Breault, and LOVED her. This year we show up for our appointment and was told she was gone (NOT told ahead of time), they WOULD NOT tell us where she went, and in fact our appointment was scheduled at some OTHER H&R Block when we ALWAYS went to this one.
If I could give them no stars I would! My husband and I will NOT be returning for next year's tax season. The person who was our tax specialist this year had the personality of a pile of rocks. She barely spoke to us at all and seemed annoyed we was even there. She said how people was so upset our person wasn't there and they lost a bunch of people (I WONDER WHY!?).
Do your taxes yourself, or go somewhere else, because I don't know how that place is still open.

Never ever again!!!! Filed early as I have over due bills federal got accepted January 22, it is now Feb 5 and I had to send 2 emails and 2 phone calls to get a hold of my preparer only to find my Michigan one, the only one I get money from, as I’m disabled, was NEVER EVEN SENT!!!! Yet I paid…..🤬 The year before last I had to wait almost 8 months as my return was not done properly guess it doesn’t affect YOU so why should you care, right????? What a damned joke pay for services before you get them to find they aren’t even done right!!! AWESOME JOB GUYS but am I am sorry will fix it all right??? Then ask me to return next year……NOT IN A MILLION YEARS

For the 2023 tax year completed in 2024 this office lost all my original copies of documents I brought in. I asked them to please find these documents, due to the nature of them since they have all my bank account information and personal information. I never received communication that the documents have been found or confirmation that they were accidentally shredded.
As far as I know, my state, federal, and city taxes were done correctly.
And also while in the office discussing what happened with my documents, I was also informed that my next year's appointment had automatically been scheduled for me and I could choose to cancel it if I did not wish to work with them. I thought it was very poor timing to schedule me for additional services at the office when they had at the time and unresolved major issue with my service at this office.
The individuals I worked with were kind, however they're definitely some major communication breakdowns and process breakdowns that led to the loss of my paperwork. Until these processes are remediated I would not recommend going here and do not plan to go here in the future .

Megan did my income tax this year and completely messed it up. I am a ssi recipient. She did not add that income into my taxes. Making it appear That I only made eight thousand dollars last year. It messed everything up especially for the state of michigan. I always claim the homestead property my rent, And my consumers. They were both turned down because it appeared.I paid more than what I made. So now i'm still waiting for or the state of michigan to release the rest of my funds, after sending in all my Proof. Megan did nothing.I had to do this all myself. And I work there as a receptionist. I am not the only one that she screwed up this year. I answered the calls from the clients and I hear everything from them. I would not recommend her.
