I went inside of the store and purchased a phone in where I thought I was getting a deal. I wanted a particular phone that Ash showed me.
He made a call and told me that he didn’t know if he would be able to get the phone on that deal but he will try. I told him that that’s the only phone that I wanted.
Maybe there was a miscommunication but the phone was not for me and I didn’t hold the phone after I paid for it. Once we left the store I noticed that this wasn’t the correct phone. I called the store and there was no answer. They were closed for the evening.
I went back 1st thing this morning and couldn’t get the phone that I wanted and thought that I was getting. It was supposed to be a deal and what they did was not give me all of my money back.
I had to pay for the activation when I was unsatisfied and due to miscommunication and possibly my negligence for not checking the phone before I had left the store.
I just think that the store could have covered the $25 activation fee and took the Loss instead of me.
The fact is, I won’t be spending money in that store again.
Things that I learned:
1. If you are dealing with someone that you don’t really understand what they are saying.
Also if their English or if the language that you speak doesn’t come out of their mouth clearly then ask for someone else to help you or make sure that you have them repeat themselves until you do understand. (I always thought that this could be irritating or seem a little disrespectful but understanding in business is important)
2. Even if you are right as a business, you still should attempt to see the situation from the side of the consumer. If you lose a consumer over $25 in this case or let’s say it’s $5 at a restaurant. This could cost the business more money in the long run.
3. As a professional, always over communicate and make sure that your client or customer understands and is satisfied. In this case Ash should have made sure that I was clearly not getting the phone that I said that I wanted(the phone was for someone else). The fact that I was getting emotionally attached to the phone and was saying how great it was and how happy I was to be able to get a deal on this phone should have been a signal to Ash.
As a professional he should have double checked to make sure that I understood what was going on. Yes it was later in the day and he was probably ready to go soon but now that particular store has lost all future business from me and even if I were to get a metro service again in the future it would not be through them.
4. This is a review about one time. I am sure that Ash is good usually. It’s just this one time in my opinion he dropped the ball with me as a customer. These are just my opinions, thoughts and ideas.
I hope he reads this and grows from it. I hope anyone else who actually reads this post gains something from it.

Came in today super distraught and low on cash. My husband and I had needed working phones asap and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but Ash took care of everything for me and was extremely nice and patient. I have extreme anxiety but he made the process as smooth and comfortable as it could possibly go with no worries! I have had past experiences with metro and people always try and get you and want you to spend money but he actually helped me accomplish would I needed and save money! I couldn’t appreciate him more he has no idea how much he helped me today and I’m super grateful!
