I don’t know how this store is still open and Sav A Lot stores that have quality food and staff, are closed up. Stopped in this store a little while ago, looking for something specific, which they didn’t have, so I looked around the store. The store itself was dirty & smelled. The owner or manager wasn’t very helpful, as apparently he couldn’t understand what I was saying. I looked at the meat counter, and I almost gagged. It was brown. The burger, steaks, all of it was brown & old. How nasty, and to even try to sell that to people. Gross. Don’t waste your time stopping here! If I could give zero stars I would.

Idk what happened 2 save a lot. But u don't save nothing at this store. I'm unsure if all save a lot stores charge what this store charges, but this is only grocery store around. Seemed really high on everything not what I remembered.

I try to only go here when absolutely necessary. Even though they are right across the street, I would much rather go to Meijer. Save A Lot cant even compare to other stores sales and reward programs, their prices are surprisingly on the high side, the store is typically dirty and their bottle return machine only accepts a couple different kinds of bottles, rejects everything else...it's kind of useless.

Used to shop at the Save A Lot in Southgate Mi. Store was clean well stocked . They closed this branch for some reason . I've shopped at the one in Taylor MI. The place has an overly ripe smell to it , and it's not good . The isle freezers can't be working properly . (Everything was half frozen ). I don't buy freezer foods or meats of any kind there . Shelves are stocked and the cashier is always friendly.
