Unable to reach a live person on the phone line, and they also do not return calls. Why would I want to bank here when there are so many good choices?

I have been with bank since it was United Bank and Trust (LOVED THAT BANKš„¹) when I lived in Saline, like for 25 years. They have serviced 3 mortgages and revolving credit loans. I rarely visit the bank anymore. The service in Tecumseh is truly spotty. Sometimes itās great and I get someone eager to help. Others times, Iām treated like a bother or suspiciously. It makes me sad to go in there and to be treated like Iām asking to go to the bathroom too many times. I gave this feedback today and the person asked me how should they act. āLike you really want to help meā⦠This behavior is a top down phenomena. The manager is allowing it or acts this way themselves most likely. Wanted to charge me $50 for a wire transfer, my cousins bank (Chase) only charges $5. Guess where Iām going when I get the first chanceā¦. CHASE. The response below from old national is likely automated and unless they really work at positivity, get a new manager, there is ZERO chance things will change.

I've never faced as much hassle with a bank as we had to try to buy our home with Old National in December. Even 5 months later, they are still correcting their own (glaringly obvious) mistakes on the closing disclosure! They sell your name with the mortgage and we get all kinds of spam mail now. Avoid at all costs. Even our real estate attorney recommended we switch banks and said that their paperwork was excessive, borderline illegally so. They are super unfriendly to freelancers, even when you qualify. We would have changed to Huntington if it weren't for the strict timeline we were on...(And in the end, we nearly missed our closing date).

Very nice people and good service at this bank, however the phone app is terrible! Not user friendly at all. In this time there is no excuse for technology to be complicated and confusing. Please create a better online experience for your customers.
I had another bad experience today and would like to talk to someone. The debit card I received for my account could not be activated. The sticker on the front had the wrong number. When I called the other number I was told I would need to call a customer call center. My next call was sent to a different country with a person with a strong accent that was difficult to understand. After waiting for awhile I was told my card could be activated. I tried the number she gave me but it did not work. This was hours of trouble and no success. I would like to talk to an executive of this bank. I might be canceling my account. Please call me.

I informed the bank I was moving and needed to close my accounts. They said I should keep it open for at least a year because my wife passed away, and I might get checks in her name. I get a stimulus check in her name. Our 1st. Had my father go to deposit with original copy of death certificate. They won't deposit it. They said the government might take it back. That's between me and the treasury dept. I have several thousand in the account to cover it. I've never been overdrawn...ever. 3 people, including a manager told me no problem. I would stay away from this bank. I'm closing both my accounts.

I have had 2 great experiences with the loan officer Kim! A personal loan, and a home equity loan. I also bank here and have had no issues.

Do not do business with Old National Bank if you can possibly avoid it. They have a pattern of buying small local banks that people trust and running them into the ground. Expect bank errors resulting in bounced paychecks if you're an employer. Expect errors and fees at every possible turn if you're a customer, and don't expect the website to work either.
