I just hear this afternoon for the first time. Employee “Leo” welcomed me in, also informing me of other promotions. Leo was very knowledgeable and helpful, answering all my questions.
They have quality brands I love like “Darn Tough”, “OR”, “Bedrock Sandals” and “Osprey. Based on my experience here today, I’d definitely return. I highly recommend checking this place out! 👍👍😁🇺🇸

Having moved from Chicago, I was concerned about losing REI, my go-to place for outdoor gear. Backcountry North is an excellent local version. They stock excellent gear and have a friendly, knowledgable, and helpful staff.

This is such a well stocked little store. Such good quality products! And if they don't have it, their larger store will! Always leave with things I didn't know I needed.

Stopped in to get a pair of shoes this afternoon and Steve was very helpful. Steve had knowledge of the brands and how they would fit. It was a fast friendly transaction, what else can you ask for!?

Bought a kayak from another store and it had defects, got ahold of Native, they issued us a new one with the warranty, so we went to this store to pick it up and we've never been more impressed with somewhere! Alan was super helpful and so respectful! He checked over our kayak before we made the 2.5 hour drive to make sure it was worth it for us. Their customer service inside the store once we got there was also very impressive! If we ever need another kayak in the future, we WILL be making the 2.5 hour drive again just to come back here. Absolutely worth every penny for the customer service they have! Thank you!
