I have been a client for my dachshund for almost seven years. I have visited three other locations within that time. All was fine. The TC location has failed me. I left a message at 9 am about my dog's diarrhea with mucous and blood. I called several more times until 11 am and never got through. Left another message at 11. Now it is 12:30 and tried calling for the 10th because corporate said there was nothing that they could do and I should just keep trying I suggest people avoid the TC location

I would never recommend anyone take their pet to this place. My family has a yellow lab who is 11 years old and has started to develop lumps in various places, one of these on her back left leg became particularly large, so we took her in to get a biopsy. After about two weeks the biopsy came back inconclusive so Banfield suggested that we get the lump removed in case it was cancerous, we went ahead with the surgery. The lump was about 1 inch in diameter and after our dog came out of surgery, she had a gruesome looking 5 inch scar- doctor did not indicate why the cut was so large and didn't show us what was removed. I have never seen anything stitched up so poorly in my life, the cut was never even closed up properly and the stitches really weren't doing anything. After about a week of being on painkillers and other meds to keep her mellow, the wound has completely opened up so we took her into Banfield and they said she has an infection- they didn't close the wound, and they didn't clean it. The doctor who did the surgery wouldn't even come talk to us. They had us buy an antibiotic and said she should be drugged and caged. The wound has not gotten any better since and they have said it is just going to heal from the inside out.I would highly recommend that nobody take their pet here. The information is very inconsistent and it is overpriced for poor care. Nothing ever costs how much they say it is going to. Overall terrible experience.

BE AWARE!!! I am a college student and took my kitten in to get her health certificate so I can fly back to Texas with her, and I was taken advantage of. I went in to Petsmart and spoke to the receptionist to schedule the appointment and stated multiple times that I just need a health certificate from them. Before I left I asked the lady how much the appointment and health certificate would cost and she told me $47.50. A few days later they called me and requested that I push the appointment date back a week due to one of the doctors not being in when I was scheduled, and because I had a couple weeks before traveling I said that was fine. I asked again about the cost just to be reassured and the lady again told me $47.50 for the total cost of the appointment. The morning of the appointment I dropped my kitten off and waited in the parking lot for them to call me about getting her checked out. After about a half hour the vet called me and said that they could not sign off on a health certificate because she has flea p*** in her fur. That was news to me considering my family has 3 dogs and 5 other cats, none of which have shown any signs of a flea infestation. I agreed to pay the $22 for the treatment because I had no other option. When I was checking out my total ended up being $120.15 which was surprising because they told me the appointment and health certificate would be $47.50 and the flea medication would be $22. The person checking my cat out said the appointment was $47.50 and the health certificate was $50.21. They lied to me considering I asked multiple times what the overall cost of the appointment would be, and I would have gone elsewhere had I known that the overall appointment was going to cost $97. Afterwards I bought a flea comb and brushed all of my pets and there was no fleas or their p*** on any of them. They did not allow me to be with her during her appointment and makes me think they lied to scam me out of money because I have no other option than to pay them for the visit and I have to travel back down to school.

This review is base on just one of my 3 cats that I take to Banfield. My cat was having his teeth cleaned, I thought it would be nice to have somebody else clip his nails and ............. The vet calls and tell me the teeth cleaning and everything went well. Then preceded to ask me if I would like pain pills and explains that sometimes after clipping a cats claws that they may be sore and bleed. I told him no because I've never had any problems with getting his nails clipped. What he should've said was we screwed up and we cut your cats claws completely off! Yes all the way up to the skin 1/16 to an 8th of the claw was left on several toes! He was crying Pathetically when I picked him up and the girl told me we cut his nails really short. I got home and examined his nail to find most of them were gone! This was not supposed to be a amputation! They were all bloody with dry and fresh blood. I called back to complain and the young man had enough gall to tell me that I brought him in like that! If I would've brought him in like that he wouldn't have needed his nails clipped! I cancelled my wellness plan, not going to let this happen again! Do let them clip your cat's claws I had them clipped by another vet and no problem . The claw shouldn't be cut beyond the quick it's full of blood vessels and nerves! This is why II give a one star

This is our 10 month old kitten Wysocki. He had his first veterinarian appointment yesterday morning at 11:30 at Banfield pet hospital at Petsmart. He was just supposed to get an initial check up and vaccines. I called them at 3:00 to see if everything was okay since it seemed like he was there for a while. The girl on the phone said the vet was just working on him and they would call back They called back around 5:30 to say we could come get him, but they couldn't do the check up or vaccinations because he was being too "aggressive". But they charged us for the office visit anyway If I wanted to be charged to keep my cat in a cage for 6 hours I would have kept him home. I'm wondering if they were confusing my 2 pound kitten for a full grown tiger So by the time Sean got him home and I could call to ask what happened they were closed. They just called back at 4:35 and I didn't get their call until 4:59 and they close at 5:00! The whole thing seems shady and unprofessional! I wish I got paid at my job for trying and not actually doing Needless to say we absolutely won't be bringing our pets back to them!

I dropped my cat off for observation today. One of my concerns was that he was dehydrated. When I picked him up, they brought him out of an exam room instead of the back where they keep the other pets. On our car ride home I could smell urine. When I let him out of his transport kennel and gave him a pet, he was damp. I pulled the towel out and it was soaked and reeked of urine. I called Banfield immediately and spoke with the supposed manager and asked how long he had been kept in his transport kennel. She said he was likely in there all day. They left my poor cat without any water or litter for 7 hours. My cat had no other option than to urinate in his kennel and lay in it for likely the majority of the day. I'm absolutely disgusted with the way they have treated him. I asked the supposed manager, Ellie (?) who I can file a complaint with. She said I could call corporate but I would only end up speaking with her again. This place is inhumane and doesn't seem to care about their patients. How can a VETERINARIAN leave a sick animal in a kennel all day without water or a place to go to the bathroom?

Beginning of April I took my pitbull Zeus in due to an injury at home. I immediately took him the next day to be checked out and examined. Everything went fine and everyone was very kind and welcoming as always. Fast forward a few weeks he needed to be re casted since he is still growing and once again everything was handled fine. That being said they again recommended him to come back in to be re casted a week later and unfortunately that could not happen as immediate as they or I wanted. When I finally came home from visiting my sick uncle I noticed that his arm pit was bleeding so I immediately took his cast off to find that the plate they put inside was WAAAY too low and was digging straight into the knuckles of his paw as was bleeding aswell. I addressed this matter to them and it would be dismissed every single time until I would pick him up and asked if they had looked at it and of course "OH! no we didnt: WHAAAT!? Why the hell not? Now they refuse to do anything to help fix his paw that now has nerve damage due to the fact of how they casted him. If you have to take your dog in for a checkup and shot great! DO NOOOT however go to them for anything more.

I am asking the veterinarians to please don't use the words maybe cancer, $2000., euthanasia before x rays and blood tests. Tumor, expensive, and "we don't know yet", are better options. We shed many unnecessary tears yesterday and our son had to leave work.

Dr. Grant and Dr. Reynolds are wonderful (as is the entire staff). My dog is particularly anxious at the Vet and they are always so understanding and work to make it as comfortable as possible for him. I recently got some heartbreaking information about my dogs health. I was calling them constantly with question after question. NO ONE on the staff ever made me feel like I was being a bother (although I certainly was). They were always kind, caring, and sympathetic to what my dog and I were going through. I can't say enough nice things. We are now relocating out-of-state, and I can only hope the staff at the next Banfield location are as wonderful as they are here. Thanks so much everyone!!
