Been using this place for a long time. They seem to do honest work. They have done many great repairs for me at good prices. Twice they have made mistakes, but they always come through with good solutions afterwards. I will keep going here for my automotive needs. I don’t think they try to up-charge or sell you anything extra, which is refreshing.Services: Exhaust

We took our old car in for exhaust repair and once that was complete they informed us of more repairs that would need to be done to make the car safe to drive. IF I had know about these "other" repairs I would have made a different decision about repairing this already old car. Their communication was terrible and it took them 4 days to do 3 hrs worth of work. I will NEVER recommend this place or go back there for any reason.

I'm grateful that others have had a good experience here. Unfortunately, in our case, Cliff's did not live up to the image they like to project of being "honest" from our recent repair experience. I asked them up front if they were comfortable with / had any experience with our foreign car model; they said they'd look at it and let me know if they could or couldn't work on it. Long story short, they replaced the exhaust system aft of the catalytic converter successfully. Things went south after that. Since the A/C wasn't working, I asked them if they felt comfortable checking that system out; if they didn't, then let me know so I could take it somewhere else. They missed a critical leak in a brass fitting that split in an obvious location on the compressor, even after introducing dye into the system. A fuse was also blown on the same compressor, in addition to one under the dash that they said they checked; more obvious misses. Yet, they charged an excessive amount of money to look at things they apparently had no expertise in. On a simple oil change they suggested needed to be done, they under-filled the crankcase by two quarts; that could've resulted in serious engine damage had I not caught it after driving the car home. They over-filled the transmission by nearly a quart of transmission fluid even after I asked them to pay close attention to the detents on the dipstick; they ignored the advice and over-filled it anyway. After [over]paying them nearly $3,000 for 'work' they should have been more diligent and forthcoming on -- especially after I asked them to be honest with me if they didn't feel they had the expertise or the capability to execute repairs I asked them about -- in this case, they were neither 'honest' nor as 'trustworthy' as they make themselves out to be in their advertising.

They were kind, accommodating, and honest. They saved me over $3,000 in repairs that another local shop said I needed done, which was not correct. I will be using Cliffs from now on, and highly recommend them to others.

Can't say enough good things. Go here before anywhere else to have your car looked at or repaired. Fast, friendly, great prices.

Another shop told me I needed my exhaust replaced for $2,000. I took it to Cliff’s and they told me it needed a gasket for $77. While it was in the shop, I asked them to check out a clunking noise that had just started to happen. They diagnosed and replaced my failing u joints for a very fair price. They have fantastic communication and kept me updated via text. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here.Services: Transmission

I was in need of an exhaust tail pipe for my vintage Toyota Land Cruiser and being 54 years old none were available anywhere. I removed the old one and dropped it off and they bent a perfect replacement. Very fair price too. Thanks Dave and crew for the excellent service.

Lovely family-run shop. Good vibes, good prices, and they stand behind their work. Plus, dogs in the waiting room: like a cat cafe, only canine and automotive.

Do not have them work on a vehicle ignition tumbler. The assessment and quotes were thoroughly done. The front office and technicians did not communicate my questions well nor were the answers correct. They did not call me to let me know the work was done. I had to call on both occasions to get an update and ask if it was done.Muffler work was great. The tune-up was great. The ignition tumbler was a failure and they tried to blame it on the bent key that we had discussed before putting in a new tumbler. It was not handled well, at first I was going to be charged for another tumbler. Apparently, the technician tried to hammer my key straight without my permission. It was finally agreed they would warranty the tumbler. At that point, after conversations, I was no longer confident they could do the job appropriately. So I had spent $378 with them to have my ignition not turn over at all. I ended up taking it to Bill Marsh, spending another $570 to have it FINALLY FIXED.

Had some noise in the front end. Was told the estimate would be $2,300 dollars. Had them email me the estimate to find a bunch of charges not dealing with the front end. Decided to get another opinion elsewhere. They charged me over a hundred dollars to look at it. The second opinion ended up being a $500 dollar estimate for new front passenger axel and alignment. Ended up not needing the alignment and all said and done was charged $374.... More then disappointed having used them prior for very similar issues this February. They also did not honor the one year "warranty" I told I had. Said, "I drove my service van over 20,000 miles and these things happen". Never again.

You probably know the feeling...nothing is going right, finances are tight, and then your car has an a issue. For me, on top of everying else going on in my life, the exhaust on my older Honda CR-V got quite loud after hitting a pothole. It was obviously a muffler issue and I felt like Murphy's Law struck me again. A total exhaust/muffler replacement is not an extreme expense but all-in-all I was worried what Cliff's would find when they got a look under my high-mileage CR-V. This story has a great ending because it ended up being a quick $90 fix. So why, you might ask, would I take the time to write a long wordy review? The answer is simple: I want to reward a business for excelling, for exceeding expectations, and for making my day better. Cliff's Automotive Repair did just that by taking care of me and only fixing what needed to be fixed. They did it professionally and quickly and at fair price. An added bonus is their comfortable waiting area with a cable TV, 2 couches, and comfy chairs. This made my day because I had my 4 year old with me. Thanks for a great experience and keep up the quality work!!
