I am 58 years old and have been training off and on for 20 years. I was looking for a new gym mainly for open gym where I could follow my own programming. “CrossFit” was new to me and, frankly, intimidating. However, I have been attending classes at CFDN for just over a month and am glad I decided to join and give it a try. I called and scheduled a tour of the gym with Brad. He introduced me to the gym, answered my questions and encouraged me to try a free class. I took him up on the offer and attended a class taught by Ashley. She was very welcoming as were all of the other participants. I was worried about some of the prescribed exercises and pace. However, Ashley spent time working with me on form and modifications if I couldn’t do the prescribed exercise. I have since taken classes with Josh and Brad. They also spent time with me on form and modifications. Don’t let the term CrossFit keep you from giving it a try. Even with modifications and sometimes slower pace, these are great workouts. It is also fun to get to know your fellow classmates and encourage one another. If you are looking for a gym that is welcoming, with workouts that can be scaled to be doable but challenging, this is your place.

Exceeds expectations. If you are truly interested in checking out CrossFit in its greatest form whether you’re a newbie or veteran to the sport, look no further. Brad, Josh, and their knowledgeable coaches are top tier - Approachable, intelligent, enthusiastic, and caring. I see them constantly giving attention to all the minor details with their clients throughout the workouts to reach their goals.The gym itself is amazing. Large size, which accommodates classes and open gym simultaneously. The culture/community at Due North is also incredible - completely genuine individuals just working hard at their own goals while supporting others. Completely inclusive to all even drop ins!Come check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Have worked out at CFDN for a couple months now. I was looking for a gym community and to work on my mobility, conditioning and breathing. The classes have lived up to everything I was looking for. It’s a great experience if you are new to working out or looking for a change in your workout routine. The challenging classes, coaches and community have made me look forward to progressing every day.

Dropped in for a workout and had an amazing experience. Brad is an excellent coach and provided superb guidance and motivation. The box itself is large and well equipped. Programming is very well done with CF Mayhem affiliation...5/5 stars!

I was very hesitant to try CrossFit. I’d had a bad experience years ago when I tried CrossFit classes (in another state). That being said, I felt so welcome at CrossFit Due North starting with my first class and every class since.The coaches are great, the workouts offer you to opportunity to do what works for your body on that particular day. The other members have been very friendly, and you can really tell that this community of people enjoys hard work and having fun together. So glad I gave it a shot!

I joined this gym out of a recommendation from a friend that is also a member. I know nothing about Crossfit...this was a concern for me. I was reassured that I didn't really need to know, and that they would work with me as we do the work outs. I was not let down. The individual coaches are great and give advice to me and the others as classes progress. I am still very much a beginner but feel confident when I am there thanks to this approach at coaching. I enjoy the individual comradery and encouragement push from other members to finish individual work outs.

Can’t say enough about this group. Coaches are super knowledgable and helpful with form and all around positive attitude. Me, my wife, and my 4 year old daughter were accepted with open arms and could not be happier with coming to this gym. One the best parts of my day.

I joined CFDN about 6 months ago and have loved every minute. I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 3.5 years and have now been apart of 3 affiliates in various places. CFDN sets themselves above with their level of coaching, programming, and just general sense of community. Everyone walks in (and out) of the door with a smile on their face. There is always just the right amount of push that keeps me excited to continue coming back. If you’re looking to try something new or become healthier in any way, consider coming to CrossFit Due North.

In July of 2022 I was in search for a gym to get involved with to help get back into shape. Being a New Traverse City resident, I wanted to find something that would keep me engaged, something fun, challenging, plus close to my work & schedule. Due North Cross fit was " MY PLACE" the first day I took a class!!! Brad & Josh are exceptional Coaches! They truly make you feel welcome, understood, involved, and most of all excepted!!The other Gym coaches are all so friendly, warm and helpful as well. All the Gym classmates are friendly, fun, and they all bring an energy that is contagious! This place has changed me, helped me change my body, my energy and my self-esteem!! Take a chance, give it a try!!

The moment I walked in the door, the team and community at CFDN immediately accepted me, made me feel comfortable, and gave me the space I needed for my extended visit to northern Michigan. I ended up doing a membership for the whole summer and enjoyed every minute of my time there. Thanks for having me Brad, Josh, and team!
