My situation as a whole was terrible! I was going through my insurance company to get my vehicle fixed from an accident. Gerber was great, the insurance company, not so much. Gerber was amazing through the entire process of scheduling a time to bring my truck down and even helping me with contacting the rental company down the road. I couldn't have stressed enough to them how important my vehicle is to me and they took care of it like their own. Alex was a tremendous help. She would call me every week with updates on the progress. She also answered all the ridiculous questions I had. Unfortunately, my insurance ended up totaling my truck before any actual repairs could be started. Kurt and his team put my truck back together as quickly as they could. When I picked it up after it was down there for a month it was in the same condition it was in when I dropped it off. They even cleaned my cab before I picked it up. My overall experience with Gerber was great and I recommend them to anyone needing their vehicle repaired.

Had my car repaired here a couple of years ago. They did not properly seal the door so water was getting In. Took it back to them they fixed it but it left a water stain in my material on the ceiling. Thought maybe it was just a fluke thing. I took it to them recently as I hit a deer. Waited 7 months which of course comes with not being able to get certain parts etc... Had a rental car for two weeks. Got my vehicle back and they had a used a used headlight assembly! (Without my knowledge) Which caused water/ condensation in my head light. I had to then take it back and have a new headlight assembly installed.Needless to say I will not be taking my vehicle here again and will not recommend to anyone else.Not a happy customer!

Brought my car in there due to hitting a deer. They had it for almost 2 months. And when I got the car back they had not fixed everything, my car was on 0 miles to empty, tires were low, and they caused more issues and refused to fix. Never go to this place.

I took my car in to get some rust issues fixed on the roof and a trim piece replaced. They did a great job. I was disappointed in the communication and scheduling. After getting re-scheduled due to parts not being in I dropped my vehicle off and it sat there for 6 days before they pulled it in. This car is my main transportation and it would have been nice to use it for those 6 days that they weren't working on it. Once they did get to work on it nobody communicated with me about the progress or time frame. The hyperlink to carwise only showed when they got started and not an estimated pickup date. I had to reach out to find out any details and Kurt was the only one that had answers. Overall I think they do quality work, I just think they can improve the customer experience by making appointments when they are actually ready, and communicating with the customers. Everyone I talked with on the phone were very friendly.Service: Body & Trim

I hit a deer around september 15, of 2022 and I was told they would have my vehicle in to work on it on February 7th, of 2023. They called me 2 weeks before saying they couldn't get a part in (which I can understand) so I waited and I got a call today saying they could get me in on the 17th to work on my car. As the lady was talking to me she said it wasn't a parts issue, that they order parts a week or 2 before they work on your vehicle. so I was lied to.... if they would of been straight up with me and said they had to much work then what they could handle, I would of been ok with it but the fact that they lied about it makes me wonder what else they would lie about to (keep you interested) I'll take my business elsewhere. i know a couple of people that had the same issue. Hope this helps with your decision.

I bought my first new car in January of 2022, got hit while parked in September 2022. Got referred to Gerber by my insurance, and it was an amazing experience. Office staff was always friendly and extremely helpful with setting up rental and answering any of my many questions (I've never had to go through this process before). The work done on my car was immaculate and looks like nothing ever happened to it. Plus when the new trim piece came- they didn't like how it fit so they ordered me another one and had me come in at my own convenience to put it on for me. I beyond appreciate that they didn't just put it on because it was a new piece and wanted it done right to the point of ordering another brand new piece rather than saying good enough. We had a fender bender in Traverse City and our insurance company referred us to Gerber. Unfortunately, they could not make repairs prior to our departure from Michigan. However, they said to bring the car in to give a check to confirm the car's safety to drive. They very promptly provided a technician who confirmed we are safe. Was recommended by the insurance company for a repair involving a deer impact several weeks before Christmas. They seemed to want to keep the insurance company happy and rushed the repair putting me in a bind forcing me to pick the vehicle up right before the holiday. There was a dent that they refused to fix which I let slide as I ultimately needed my truck back. Initially thought that they did a decent job even though my door still leaks air occasionally. Then when I had my oil changed recently the tech told me my radiator was leaking right where the deer impacted. I was told by Gerber that the radiator was inspected and fine however it is not. For 2+ weeks now they DO NOT return my calls and I have been given the run around concerning what should have been replaced in the first place when they removed the front corner of the truck. Now being told that radiators commonly leak where mine is. Seems like a convenient excuse for them to not take any responsibility for speeding a repair and missing an issue.Pt.2 March 30, 2021: Hi Kyle, yes I did hear your message two weeks ago. Your company has both phone number and email address so don't try that mess. You were the ONLY person that called me back and ONLY after I left a bad review. Unfortunately your answers were non-answers and the fact remains that your company missed a busted radiator during the three+ weeks you had my vehicle. If you had let it run for any amount of time during the repair you would have seen the radiator leak. At the very least some sort of pressure test should have been administered. Now of course the insurance company says that it is indeterminate what caused the problem even though it is in the same place the deer smashed into me. So the review remains at 1 star and I will continue to tell any acquaintance who asks to stay away from Gerber. My point is that you shouldn't rush vehicles out the door to get in front of the holidays (after you have them for weeks). Be well and best of luck.

I cannot recommend this company enough! My wife got into a small fender bender and our insurance company recommended this business. The entire process was seamless. We dropped the vehicle off during our vacation, and when the bumper didn't arrive on time, the shop personally made sure to have a rental car waiting at the airport upon our return. They saved us several headaches, kept us updated via texts and calls the entire time, and the work restored the front end to factory condition. I would strongly recommend this business to anyone needing body work!Services: Painting

These guys are awesome. Went with them as they are apart of Progressive's network and I couldn't of been more pleased. We dropped the car off Sunday night and they had the estimate prepared within the next couple days. All the stars aligned and we were able to get the vehicle back at the end of the day on Friday that same week. Josh was my main contact and he kept me very up to date on what we had going on. The car looks beautiful. Thank you everyone at Gerber and I'll definitely be recommending in the future.
