Horizon Books is a great local bookstore in downtown Traverse City. It is a cute, cool, and fun little shop with a consistent and wide selection of books across many genres, including a great local and Michigan history section and a good sized children's section. The book selection is vast, extremely well organized, and kept in excellent condition. The store features a cafe with great espresso and coffee. It is known for superb and fantastic customer service from a delightfully knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining staff. The long hours, open later than most bars, allow for convenient, no-rush browsing. A membership program is easily worth it, though some visitors noted an issue with the restrooms.
Great local bookstore with a decent assortment of authors and a good number of genres. They have a great local and Michigan history section as well as a good sized children's section. A staff member helped me order a book and bring it in even if I was gone in a few days. Great stop and superb service!
