Stayed in the Executive Suite room 434. It was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The living room is advertised with an electric fireplace, which the room does have, but there's no remote control to turn on the fireplace. I called the front desk, and they stated that the remote is missing. I could use a flash light to look for a button to turn it on. I tried that, and the fireplace still didn't work. Also, I tried to order food at the bar and was told that the kitchen closes in 20 minutes and they couldn't locate anyone working in the kitchen but put an order in. I ordered a Ceasar salad, and 30 minutes later, it was served. Breakfast has some odd hours also, and I ended up going out for breakfast. The valet parking is a nice concept, but in reality, it's time-consuming and costly. I ended up leaving a day early to visit other places.

WiFi didn’t work. Phone didn’t work. Tried calling the front desk, but the system didn’t work. We walked in our room and there was a street light pointed into our room. The sound of cars on the street outside woke us up at 5am.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was super friendly. Nice amenities. And location was - almost - five-star. I love that it's close to downtown and lots of brewpubs, restaurants and shops. BUT ... it also means that rooms facing the bay are literally right on the road and the noise from cars is very pronounced. Woke us up both mornings we were there well earlier than we wanted to get up! I know the bay side is perhaps prettier, but if I stayed here again I'd ask for a room on the town side and sleep a little better.Walkability: Downtown location means you can walk to most of old downtown in 10-15 minutes at most. Great brewpubs and distilleries within a 2 minute walk.

The staff was amazing, the room was clean/comfortable and the location is perfect. We were able to leave the car and walk the downtown area with no problem. They only offer valet service here so remember to bring cash to tip. Would definitely stay here again.Rooms: Clean and comfortable.Walkability: Able to get basically everywhere by foot.

Food & drinks: We met the new chef (Jonathan) and were impressed by not only the food, but also his friendly professionalism. We will make a point to return often to see what he does to elevate the restaurant experience at the Indigo.

I did not stay here. Wish I had. Beautiful 1st floor. You don't get that "hotel" feeling. Well appointed. Contemporary.

We travel a lot for both work and pleasure and so we have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. This was our first time at this location and we were very happy. From the valet to the front desk to the bartender to room service, every single person we encountered was friendly. The hotel is posh and very clean. Rooms are your average size but it’s the little things that stood out. I’d call it a mix of farmhouse and retro. It works well. The bed was comfortable, there was no shortage of towels like we experience so often. And the shower was gorgeous. Walk in with no door or shower curtain. You could have a party in there (if that’s your thing. No judgement here). We will stay here again.Should mention you have to valet but the garage is heated so your vehicle is warm even in cold weather. And they had our vehicle to us within 2 mins every single time we needed it.Location is less than half mile to all the shops and restaurants like Cherry Republic and Kilwins. And it’s right across from the pier.

My boyfriend and I stayed with Hotel Indigo mid December 2023 for my birthday as a surprise. Upon arrival and check in, there was mounting frustration over accommodations and lack of delivery on how the room was supposed to be particularly set. This was an extra charge and not fulfilled properly, our room was never cleaned as repeatedly requested. My boyfriend’s new truck was struck in valet causing quite a bit of damage so we ended up spending a large amount of time every day trying to correct things about basic room cleanliness and police involvement. It was such a commotion that I had left a pair of boots behind in the room, I requested for them to mail them to me, I had to call several times and they were forgotten about, this is after I had given them my bank information 3 times. I believe that it was tacky to charge me shipping after the endless amount of financial loss that this stay created. This was my personal suggestion to stay at HI because I have stayed there the majority of my TC trips and have always recommended to others. No resolve or discounts were offered but I must say that most of the staff were incredibly sweet, their hands were tied on the matters. I do not foresee staying with them again in the future as it causes us anxiety to imagine.

Great room, beautiful accommodation. Service was excellent, valet parking for fair price and bar area was really nice. We will definitely stay there again!

Hotel and staff were very nice, rooms were clean and finished well. Would have been a great stay but I cannot recommend staying on the bay side, at least on the second floor. You are right on top of 31 and whoever built the hotel did not plan for the road noise at all. It is extremely loud, thankfully traffic calmed down late at night so we could sleep but it picked up again by early morning. They need to find a way to reduce the noise in those rooms or offer them at a severe discount, really poor planning from whoever built this hotel.

I came here upon a suggestion from a local friend as I traveled to this area for the second time. Let me start by saying... The hotel staff was EXCELLENT, to say the least, very helpful and courteous in every way! No fault of their own! They could not have been better! Not self-parking on-site really tripped me up the minute I got there. but an added $15 extra a night for valet parking, which added up quite a bit, especially when you add the tip, which should be paid out of courtesy for those hard-working guys going back and forth to pick up the car. The rooms were nice until I got to the bathroom and the toilet flush did not work properly, with water running all night long, called someone who came the next day to fix but then it did the same thing again. I did not bother to tell the front desk again. Then I noticed bottled water in the room and a $4 cost per bottle, I did not even bother, just went to a local store and picked up bottled water there at a much lower cost. The TV and remote did not work or were really hard to operate! Everything was "low-key" irritating to me. Not sure if I want to stay in this place again or any of the IHG Hotels again if there are these little quirks. The charging of every little thing is very bothersome! Not sure if I can fully recommend this place! Traverse City is a beautiful place but not a hotel I can fully recommend in good conscience!
