We went to their Christmas Hayride and Santa greeting. It was lovely. The hay wagon has fresh hay and was pulled by two beautiful horses and driven by a “cowboy” (which thrilled my 3 year old grandson). Beautiful ride through the woods. Following we were welcomed into a lodge gorgeously decorated for Christmas. But (again for my grandson) the highlight was Santa Claus. His costume was beautiful and he was wonderful with little children. There was plenty of time for photos next to a roaring fire. They had refreshments (cookies and hot chocolate). By far best Santa sighting this year. We’ll go back next year!

The owner is wildly inconsiderate towards customers and her own staff. Often I witnessed her reprimanding and rasing her voice at her employees and it is clear that she is hindering proper care and treatment of her own horses. The staff are wonderful, but I feel bad that they have to deal with an unprofessional boss.

Smelly, old, dirty rooms. I think you can do better for what you charge.Rooms: Only some have air. Very dark and dingy. Would stay elsewhere.

We went to the ranch for some horse back riding. We arrived an hour early, like the website mentioned. Well, according to the very rude lady behind the desk, the website is essentially wrong. None the less, they could not accommodate us and quite frankly I won't spend money where I'm treated like garbage. Terrible first impression

The rides sell out. You have to arrive very early if you aren't staying on-site. We traveled two hours round-trip, but failed to get a ride.

Ranch Room:It is a ranch, not a hotel. So the rooms are pretty standard. I felt it was a bit pricey but guess it is the average price around summer in this area. There is no microwave oven or mini refrigerator so there's no way to store anything. You will need to bring your own cooler. The restaurant was closed which made it difficult as we had to drive 6 miles to find the nearest food joint. There are a couple of ponds and a pool right next to the rooms, fireplace and playground for kids.Horse Back Riding:This was the main reason we stayed at the ranch. The wrangler was really good and explained every minute things and kept us engaged and informed.Kayaking:We did the 4 mile kayaking. It took us almost 2 hours to complete. Its a steady downstream but had so many turns. Its definitely not for kids. Both of us capsized but it was pretty good. The Ranch doesnt own the river so you might find other people on the way. It was a slow weekend when we were there so we were the only one kayaking. We did see a couple of anglers. It was pretty common to see branches and tree hanging in the river and i got smacked on the face a lot of time. So kids should avoid this. The water level is knee deep in most places and few feet at few places.Overall it was a good weekend away from the busy life.Nearby activities: Horse back riding

I drove up there for a trail ride and the women behind the desk was very rude to us because I asked her if she had a gentle horse for an in experienced rider. She told my friend you shouldn't go you know you can't get off the horse if you don't like it. She didn't want her to go so that she could fill her time slot with a full 8 instead of 7. There was a couple that arrived after us and she said if you go then they can't go. I have never been treated like this at a horse stable before and I would never go back there.

BE AWARE! Website and brochure needs to be updated. Said that they do walk ins for horseback riding, come to find out you can reserve and pay the day before and have a spot for the next day. We came as a walk in as advertised and did not have a spot and had to leave. Not cool at all.

What they charge for a room does not March what they offer. My room was filthy. There was hair all over the carpet (we had no pet). There was dirt on the bed (we hadn’t even slept there). The shower had hair stuck in the drain (never showered). We attended a beautiful wedding for a very close friend of our family. The wedding and the people were all wonderful. When it came time to go to bed, not so great. We opted to check out and leave, the office was closed! ?♀️I would not recommend this place, ever!Very disappointed to say the least. ??????

There for a family wedding and reception. If you're looking for one of the most beautiful places on earth, Ranch Rudolf is the place! A three day venue that was perfect in everything! The rooms, food and service were above and beyond! This wonderful place is the creator of a lifetime of precious memories! Highly-rated and recommended! More stars than 5 from this family!
