About The Salvation Army Traverse City
The Salvation Army in Traverse City is a welcoming church and a vital helping organization in Grand Traverse County. It provides community lunches in an encouraging, neighborly, and grateful atmosphere. The organization, supported by amazing staff and some of the nicest volunteers, offers significant help to those in need. It also co-sponsors community events. While hours can be a challenge, they are great people dedicated to doing God’s work and helping the community, which would not be the same without them.

The Salvation Army co-sponsored the Sara Lee Cares event honoring our hometown heroes and helped provide transportation to the event for attendees. Their volunteers were some of the nicest, easiest going, and funniest(!) people you could ask to meet. Grand Traverse would not be the same without them.

I so appreciate the help I have received. Amazing staff and volunteers. It's amazing how much all the help that is given. I pray that someday I get the opportunity to volunteer or donate money to pay it forward. God bless you all. I asked for help, and I received much more... Thank you for all you do.
