West Bay just did the catering for my daughter’s wedding. We had buffet style for around 100. Everyone raved about the food. One guest said it was the best wedding food they ever had. The beef tenderloin was unbelievable. The charcuterie board for hors d’oeuvres was a work of art. It was a great day.

We had him booked and he didn’t show up for the tasting- THEN was an hour late to the wedding and was not answering any of our calls to find out where they were. When they got there the only brought half the food and threw it on the dirty table and didn’t even have the decency to cut things up- our guests had to do it. Half of the wedding did not eat, he broke the contract on several counts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

West Bay catering went above and beyond.Out of the 300 people we had nobody was disappointed.Their staff are very polite and openYou don’t get honesty much these days.Even with their little staff they blew it out of the water.From Jon bon

I had a great time with this catering company. West Bay catering went above and beyond with their timely manner as well as set up’s go for catering. No issues or complications .I even chatted with the fellow , he was very polite & humble!

I am disappointed to see that his reviews have went so south since our wedding on August 7th. While those were not my experiences, I can see how they could have happened. Initial conversation with the Owner Steven P. was great about a year before our wedding. He was responsive, the food at the tasting was amazing, and his pricing was the reasonable. We had breakfast sandwiches and fruit with a coffee bar and OJ for the morning of the wedding, He forgot about the steak, egg, and cheese sandwiches for the guys, but brought enough of the sausage, egg, and cheese so that everyone had enough to eat. Charcuterie board with fruit, bacon wrapped shrimp, and spinach artichoke dip for cocktail hour, which our guests raved about, and a prime rib carving station and herb crusted chicken with amazing sides for dinner. One of the biggest compliments we received was how good the food was. We also had parfaits and breakfast tacos, with coffee and OJ for breakfast the next morning. Steven was only about 20 minutes late each morning, but was on time for the wedding. His communication was sub par and hard to get ahold of, but once he informed me that he had a new number it was much easier to speak to him. I also was disappointed about how much I had to stay on emailing him, but the food quality was so great, I was not devastated by anything.

Steven hasn't responded about my wedding rehearsal dinner for the last seven days and I'm now having to find another caterer who will respond. Now we are looking into legal action as we've already submitted a sizable deposit.

Where to begin...How about Total Dissatisfaction! What a stressful experience with West Bay Catering! Food arrived to venue 2hrs late. They did not bring enough food to feed 90 guests. The food was poorly put together, no elegance or specialness and it tasted average at best. It was NOT what the Bride & Groom ordered. The guests had to help set up the food and hordevours. The catering staff left quickly and were suppose to stay, set up and replenish. We Ran Out Of Food! The Venue owner called owner of West Bay Catering over and over with NO return calls. Mother of the Bride called owner of West Bay Catering over and over with NO return calls. The high point was Owner of Willowbrook Mill Northport Mi rallied all the local restaurants who were standing by ready to bring food if West Bay Catering was a No show. Northport Mi Businesses We Love You for your support! Please do NOT use West Bay Catering. We do not want you to deal with the stress. Worry and unprofessionalism we had to. Find another vendor to make your Wedding Day special! West Bay Catering YOU need to make it right with this family!

We did not have a great experience with my cousins wedding this past weekend. The caterer is supposed to set the bride and her family at ease making sure every detail is sought out just as the bride dreams it to be. This caterer put alot of stress on both families. During a time of celebration it was quickly changed to panic to try and feed over 100 people in less than 30 mins because the caterer didnt answer the phone, confirm, or show up.When the staff did show up it was not the correct menu, amount, or assembled. I would not recommend this caterer.

Do not cater with this company!!! The owner of the company had yet to apologize for flaking last minute on a wedding, despite a contract. A bride was very upset when she had to worry at the last minute, how she was going to feed all of her guest.

EVERYTHING WRONG!After multiple calls and no response, 2 employees arrived at our wedding venue 2 hours late! They arrived with half the food ordered and not prepared for serving! Guests help cut up the hors d’oeuvres! Truly felt like fast food delivery you’d drive back to get corrected!The local restaurants and businesses jumped to help! Real professionals!We are still waiting for a call back from this “caterer”!

I would NOT recommend this caterer. He sent his staff to our reception over 2 hours late, with nothing assembled nor the amount of food that was ordered. Two of our guests had to jump in to help the two kids set up.The food was not brought in on trays, therefore the sliders had to be set up on the table. The cheese for the charcuterie boards had to be cut up by our guests as well. They had to pretty much do everything when they should have been enjoying our day. There was nothing to put the silverware in, so that to had to be rounded up.They were supposed to stay and replenish food and clean up. Since there wasn't even enough food to feed all our guest including the Bride and Groom, there wasn't anything to replenish with. Our bar tenders were amazing and stepped up to clean up what was this caterers responsibility.What should have been a beautiful flawless day that was planned out for months, this catering company dropped the ball and caused stress, cost us more money to buy more food from local businesses and was an embarrassment to us.I don't know how ANYONE could do this to someone, especially on their special day. Apparently he took on another wedding that day and didn't bother to answer any calls, texts or emails when he was an apparent no show. I felt bad for the two kids he sent into a horrible situation. They acted like they had no idea what to do or how to handle a very uncomfortable situation.Steve Peltier, you should be ashamed of yourself! You haven't even had enough decency to contact us to apologize or explain yourself, which there really isn't an excuse!I hope this review keeps anyone looking for a caterer for their special day from making the same mistake we did in trusting in you. We should have known when you wouldn't return calls or emails for very long periods of time and would not let us have any tastings.

Is there a 0/5 star option? To the reader: DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS. This caterer was and remains incredibly unprofessional. My brother and sister in law were married and had all things squared away (with a lot of effort on their part I may add due to the owner, Steve Peltiers lack of communication!) the bill was paid in half prior to the event and all contracts were signed. His staff showed up over 2 hours after the agreed upon time. Not only that- no communication was made nor would he answer any calls indicating a delay. When his two staff members arrived, the food was not even assembled or prepped. Guests that should have been enjoying the wedding- were cubing cheese, assembling sandwiches and setting up charcuterie boards. Not only that- the amount of food to feed the guests was also not delivered. Approximately 1/3 of the paid for and agreed upon amount was delivered. There was no platter or serving tray provided and the sandwiches we displayed on the table cloths. PEOPLE- DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. He has yet to call to apologize or explain these actions. They are incredibly unreliable and honestly, he should have his catering license pulled. I am so sorry to the staff that has to work under this poorly organized and disrespectful owner.
