Poor customer service. Site is not staffed.Edit: The "systems in place to assist customers promptly when necessary", I feel, is not prompt. Being told to wait a few days for an answer on when I can resume the use of the space that I rented, which was being occupied by another customer, is unacceptable.

They bought out the previous owner at the place we were renting. We have always been on auto pay, NEVER late once.rented 2 units. Once they took over the entire place went to crap. Storage was broken into. Exterior doors to the buildings no longer were secure/locked. The gates didn't work or the entry keypads, codes would read error, red locks were placed on units on autopay for non pymt. Unwarranted late fees were never refunded while on autopay. The rent increased multiple times in 2 years. The prices advertised never matched what was actually charged, No humans were ever available on site. The pymt kiosk that replaced the actual office with humans when they bought it literally never worked the entire time since they took over. It's been an utter nightmare dealing with this company. And the icing on the cake is being charged for 3 months on 2 units for a storage we haven't occupied for 3 months @$600+ each month. We bought our house in January, cleared the units in February. It's now May heading into June of 2023 and they are STILL charging us via our card. And refuse to refund us for unauthorized charges. Our bank is currently investigating them for fraudulent unauthorized charges. DO NOT USE THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY! RUN.

Do NOT use any of their storage facilities. This compnay is awful and they overcharge and their customer service does not help.

The storage facility is fine. The registration process was not great. I got cut off twice and had to repeat all the information that I gave the previous people. They were not clear how I was too signed my contract for the unit. I thought I was going to meet someone at their office and sign. However, all of that can be taken care of online. They just send you to a specific website. One of the people I talk to had an accent from the Caribbean. This made things very difficult as not only could I not understand her, but I had to repeat and talk very slow two or three times just so that they would understand what I was saying, and then I had to repeat to, correct them . However, some of the folks I talk to or really sharp and made things happen.

DON'T BELIEVE THE PRICES SHOWN!! As soon as you move in and have all of your stuff packed away they will begin raising the rates on you. They're currently charging me $295 for a unit that they advertise to anyone off the street at $205. And no, it's not a promotional rate, that's the advertised monthly price the promo is 50% off of that. I actually have 5 units, all the same size, all charging me different prices but all of them MORE than they are charging anyone who walks in off the street for the same size unit right next to mine. What a crappy way to treat a loyal customer. They KNOW they have you over a barrel because your junk is already stashed there. Devious, underhanded business tactic. They're ripping of off to the tune of $500 a month over their current advertised prices. DON'T FALL FOR IT. Deal with a LOCAL company with REAL PEOPLE not canned replies or foreign call centers. Pay a little more to start with a decent company that doesn't pull this crap or you will regret it if you're they're for more than a month or two.

Reserved a storage unit, have been in contact with their customer service for three days in a row now. The gate code won’t work. Their temporary codes don’t work. The facility manager hasn’t called back. I appreciate the kiosk automation but they need some real customer service. I want my money back. It’s ridiculous. The facility manager should call me.

Went twice, couldnt get in either time. The gate code didn't work and spending an hour on the phone with the tech didn't work. They need some help!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have paid for this unit for a year. Last month, there was an issue with the gate where no one could gain access on a Sunday. They fixed for most people, but I could not gain access for over two weeks. Every time I called, I had to be at the gate for assistance. They gave me different codes, had me try over and over again. Every day for over two weeks, I was told that someone would call me back. I still to this day, haven’t received a call back. I was told I would get a credit equal to the time I was locked out and they gave me a credit for $12. $12 for over two weeks of driving back and forth, waiting on hold for hours during that period of time. Also, the call center is outsourced so no one can pronounce my name. Horrible experience. I will be moving all of my stuff out within the next month even if it means paying more somewhere else. Red Dot Storage does not care about their customers. Beware of this place!

I had both a unit and parking spot at the trenton location. I had no issues while I was there for two years. The gate did break once during our stay but they got it fixed and my vehicle and the storage unit was perfectly fine during that time. Units were reasonably priced and customer service was easy to get a hold of and were helpful.

They don't respond. They contract employees so you get no closure they have a kiosk instead of people. They over charged us by over 1500$

If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. I've had a boat stored in a facility in Pass Christian, MS for 4 years. Recently Red Dot bought the locally owned company out. Nothing really changed for me. This past Friday, April 9th, I use my same gate code and open the gate and park my boat. I drive two hours home to get my family for a return trip on Saturday morning. I get to the facility and the key pad for the gate does not have electricity to it, the screen is not lite and I punch my code in several times. I realize that the gate is not about to open. I start calling all of the number and after a ridiculous wait time, I get a human on the phone. This person is working in the Caribbean and she tells me that she's sorry but it will be Monday before the gate will be fixed. Completely unacceptable! So here we are, me, my wife, and two boys are there and can't get to our boat! The absolute worst management and customer service I've ever experienced. Have someone local that can tend to these issues! Also, across the street is another seperate gated facility that is part of this same Red Dot facility. This is where the boaters use the water hose for washing and flushing. I used this hose on Friday before I parked my boat in its slip. The gate to this area was wide open for anyone to enter And take whatever they wanted to. The gate never closed while I was there on Friday. when I get back Saturday mornin, the gate was still wide open. And it remained that way all day Saturday as well. Several boats and RVs are stored in this area. terrible terrible, unacceptable and ridiculous!

There a couple issues with this place. 1-there is never an employee on hand for assistance. 2-if the power goes out here which happens with any significant wind the entrance gate doesn't work until they reset things. Which is a problem if trying to access your unit.
