recently rented a climate-controlled unit at 1-800-Self-Storage, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The climate-controlled rooms are excellent for keeping my belongings in top condition, regardless of the weather outside. Great location with awesome features like covered unloading area. John as very helpful. Recently moved from Charlotte from a 3/2 house to an apartment, so needed a unit. John and team were very helpful with keeping a unit reserved for us even though our moving date kept changing.

Lifesavers! And some truly nice & friendly people.My apartment fell through 3 days before I was to move in. With the trailer full of all my worldly belongings needing to be emptied in 6 days and me in another state, the folks here were able to help set me up a space big enough for my house full of stuff, accessible from outside so the the trailer could be dropped off right outside and all over the phone in about 10 minutes.When the trailer got there (the day before I did) they coordinated with the driver so they dropped it exactly where it needed to be.When I got there, it took maybe 5 minutes to finish the paperwork and then the real fun started, unloading that huge trailer. ?At least there is free water, loading/unloading is sweaty, thirsty work. The place is so clean, too. I'd gladly use them again.

I've been with them for a couple years now. I recently got all my stuff out. In the beginning they were very kind they were very good with me. I had no problems until recently. I called March 31 to close my storage unit for April 1, I only had to pay like three dollar charge. And then when I got there after hours they put a lock on it already. I called them and they said they got it off and happily got everything out. A week later I got a email saying that I miss my charge and I have a late fee. I quickly call them and said it was error. this place is great but you gotta make sure to catch there mistake.

Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else. At first, they seem nice offering you free water, candy, and ice cream but they will use any chance to take possession of your unit. This seems especially true if they see what you unloaded and they want it. Please be careful using this facility. If you are 2 weeks late, they will lock your unit, place a lien and try to sell your property. Of course, they'll take their pick of your stuff then sell off the rest. It's really sketchy and predatory! Please please find another storage place. The mom (Madeline) and her son work together and it's not good. RUN AWAY!!!!
