We love this preschool!
Our daughter started here when she was 2.5 years old.
We were looking for a place where she would be loved and cared for, and we found exactly that.
Now, after 2 years, we still feel so lucky to be part of this warm and kind community.
All the teachers are friendly, caring, and truly passionate about what they do. One of the things I love most is that every teacher knows every child, no matter which class they are in, it really feels like a big, loving family.
At this preschool, the children are not only cared for, they are guided, supported, and truly seen.
It’s rare to find a place like this where teachers take the time to really connect with and nurture every child.
Loretta, the director, is the heart of the school. She always has a kind word for everyone, and you can feel her warmth and dedication throughout the whole place.
We are very happy here, and most importantly, our child is happy too.
I truly recommend Discovery Corner to any family looking for a nurturing, loving preschool.

My daughter absolutely loves DCA. We came from a larger daycare company previously, and DCA was superior in its tuition rates, teacher to student ratio, and most importantly, my daughter loves attending school here and dreaded her previous daycare. I’m extremely pleased with our time here.

Prior to coming to DCA, my eldest went to a commercial daycare program that provided updates via an app. Lets just say that is all they did. DCA does not use fancy apps to tell me every time my child sneezed or went to the bathroom. I know my children are well taken care of there. No app necessary. I commute 20 miles to take them there, and cannot recommend their services enough.

We have loved our time at DCA! The teachers and staff have been great and our daughter has flourished in DCA’s environment. We appreciate that most of the teachers have been with DCA for many years so the center has very minimal turnover. Also, the schedule flexibility has been so helpful for our family. Finally, the Director, Loretta, is also wonderful. She is very organized and plans such fun activities for the kids. My daughter truly loves going to school each day!

We love DCA! We’ve had our kids going there the last four years and there has essentially been zero teacher turnover, which I really appreciate. I also love how they let the kids be kids - while there is structure and I was impressed with how prepared my daughter was going into kindergarten, they don’t bog down the kids with unnecessary rules and restrictions.
They are also always open. Never closed for snow days, don’t close over Xmas-new years like so many daycares around us. And they let older kids come back for one-off days (my 7yo went several times last year when her school had snow days or was closed for break).
I can’t say enough good things about our experience at DCA!

I wish we would've found this daycare earlier. I only have amazing things to say. My daughter has never been happier. We tried a couple of daycares before landing at DCA. The love and attention each teacher give. Now that my daughter is off to kindergarten, she is beyond prepared. She came out of PreK reading!
My older son begs to go to summer camp. Definitely keeping them as our backup for snow days and will be coming back for camps.

After trying different daycares and facing constant disappointments, we had almost lost faith in finding a place where our children would be genuinely happy and well-cared for. From rashes and injuries to sad expressions, our previous experiences left us heartbroken and wary. That is until we found the wonderful Discovery Corner Academy.
From the moment we enrolled our children at DCA, we were struck by the difference in the level of care provided. It quickly became evident that for many larger daycare corporations, it might be just a job, but for the DCA team, this is undeniably your calling. The dedication, love, and attention you show to each child is remarkable. We have never had to deal with a single diaper rash or any incident under your care. The family-owned and operated nature of DCA, with friends working together, truly makes all the difference.
While one of our children is moving on to the public school system, we are excited to soon enroll our other child again at DCA. Your exceptional care and nurturing environment have made a lasting impact on our family. We are incredibly fond of DCA and the amazing Director, Loretta. If it were possible to give more than five stars, we certainly would.

It has been over a year since my granddaughter went to this place, and seeing all of the positive reviews after our experience made me write this review. First, we were promised she would be ready to move on to first grade after completing their kindergarten program, even after we explained she was behind for a lot of different reasons. They waited until the school year was almost over to tell my daughter she wasn't going to be ready (around the end of March). We could have sent her to public school for free instead of paying for private schooling. Instead, we paid for it and had to put her in kindergarten a second time, which also put her a year behind. Second, they did not supervise them well when outside, so an incident of inappropriate behavior happened. Loretta was explicitly told she was not to discuss this in any way with our granddaughter, but she thinks she is above the parent and did so without permission and without a parent present. She also embarrassed her and the other child in front of the entire class. What kind of person does that to a child??? We should have done more so this doesn't happen to someone else. Sending her to this place was the worst decision we ever made, and she wasn't the only child who repeated kindergarten after their program.

Absolutely the best! I can't say enough good things about DCA. My daughter attended from age 3 1/2 - 5 and she really disovered herself, grew, and learned SO much from the team here. They are so warm, welcoming, and tailor their instruction to the needs of each child. My daughter was part of the Kindergarten program as a 4 1/2 year old learned to read! Highly recommend DCA over other daycare centers. I wish we knew about them with my older children, but feel lucky we found them for our youngest.

My daughter went to daycare/school at Discovery Corner from the ages 3-5. They made her feel right at home and helped her become well equipped for kindergarten. She also learned how to read there! I felt secure leaving her with the supportive staff and tell everyone I know to check them out when considering a childcare facility.
