Let me explain the pro and cons about this store. The only pro is, they have the coolest dude at the cashier that care to make a small talk and excited for the stuff you purchasing. Cons are, nobody greet me at the door, I had to look for the sales rep and when they saw me they just keep talking to each other until I approached them. Second one, you have the most creepy and weird sales rep, he was short, glasses, creepy smile and has a r@;!$.....face. Really, he was the most awkward and if I could get someone else to help me, I would. I asked how his day going? But he just keep starring back at me without saying anything, and after asking him a question, and he gave me short answer he just went back looking at his phone. When I was looking around at nike shoes section,I saw the same sales rep flirting with a customer and even that customer seems to be uncomfortable and trying to move away from him, and he still following her around. I am really close to call a police for his creepy behavior. I can tell he was trying to make friends with his coworkers but they all also seems not comfortable with him. I wouldn't be surprised if I see his face on most wanted or Crime in the D. I just disappointed on why he has to work in my favorite mall? now I have to go to Madison heights if I want to buy shoes from JD. Really hope he wont relocate to the other store or I just wont shop in JD or Finish Line anymore.

Very bad customer service I bought my son some shoes for ChristmasThey arrived only with one shoe on the box, I went to the store on somerset mall , reorder them again paid fast shipping, the next day they said they didn't had them on stock and they would refund my money. almost 2 weeks Going back and forth calling them and no refund .

I recently had an unpleasant experience with customer service. One of the saleswomen was unhelpful and immature. I felt disrespected and unheard. I hope the company takes steps to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity.

Walked in and walked around for about 15 minutes there were at least 7 workers on the floor nobody greeted or asked if I needed helped they just walked around looking mad. It made me not want to purchase anything from this establishment. They were not busy so this is no excuse. Please do better

The Team at JDs in the Somerset Mall are exceptional. I've only been working in the Detroit area a little over a year. I feel like I've been here for years when I shop with them. I would highly recommend this location.

I ordered a pair of gym shoes online, a week ago. I went to pick them up, 1 shoe was in the box & the other shoe was still on the floor. They had not filled my order. The Manager blamed it on the staff. I asked 1 of the employee, did they have another size 5 he brought me a 5 1/2. I just started shaking my head & left.

We were looking for a specific pair of basketball shoes for my daughter. My husband called ahead, and the associate he spoke with was very helpful. She set aside the pair we were looking for. When we got to the store, they were busy, but there were quite a few workers who were all ready and willing to help. They directed us to the shoes that had been set aside, and helped us with a couple other options.In all, I think we spoke with 4 different workers at the store and all were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend JD Sports.

Do not spend your $ here. Bought my son nice shoes for school. 1 shoe totally fell apart after about 3 weeks. Defective. Not worn much at all but are now unwearable. Brought them back with the receipt to EXCHANGE for the same pair. Manager said their policy won't allow worn shoes returned/exchanged (even though the damage was not from use but from poor defective manufacturing). Most places will exchange for you and get reimbursed by the manufacturer in a situation like this. Brand you buy doesn't matter so save your money since their policy essentially is, "we can sell defective products that fall apart and won't do anything about it. Your problem, not ours. Thanks for spending your $ here though". I do have a solution though....50 FEET AWAY from JD Sports is Nordstroms. Go there. I bought shoes at Nordstroms before that started ripping after 3 years. They exchanged them, no questions asked, and no receipt needed. So, take a few extra steps down the hall to Nordstroms before you buy anything at JD Sports...unless you want them for 3 weeks.
