I went in yesterday evening for what should have been a simple gel manicure. My nails were bare, so I expected a quick and straightforward appointment. Instead, I was stuck there from 7:15 PM until 8:50 PM for a service that should have taken no more than 45 minutes.
The nail tech was shockingly unprofessional. She was more focused on chatting with coworkers and having personal phone conversations—some of which were wildly inappropriate, including complaints about her daughter-in-law—than on doing her actual job. She barely looked at my hands while working and was careless to the point of repeatedly cutting my fingers. When I told her she was hurting me, she brushed it off and said, “It’s fine.” It was not fine.
Even worse, she continued applying polish while blood was visibly dripping down my finger. Then, without asking, she applied some unknown green liquid to the open wound, which burned so badly I nearly screamed. When I asked what it was, she dismissed my concern again with, “It’s fine.” Again—it was not fine.
The actual manicure was sloppy and rushed. Entire sides of my nails were missed. When I asked her to fix it, she got irritated and blamed me for not speaking up sooner—as if I’m supposed to supervise her every move or instruct her on how to do the job she’s supposedly trained for.
This entire experience was unacceptable. Not only was the service poorly executed, but it also felt unsafe and unsanitary. I left the salon in pain, furious, and genuinely worried my fingers might become infected. I will absolutely never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values their time, money, or basic hygiene.
When I told her I wasn’t comfortable paying full price given the injuries and poor result, she got angry and started making excuses—saying she stayed late to do my nails and that my “skin was bad,” as if that somehow justified her mistakes. For the record, I never said I wouldn’t pay. I said I wasn’t going to pay full price for a service that left me bleeding and disappointed.
This was one of the worst nail salon experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was the work subpar, but the entire situation felt unsanitary, unsafe, and incredibly unprofessional. I left in pain, upset, and concerned about possible infection. I will never return and strongly urge others to think twice before going here. To warn people who go to this nail salon it was the woman that always sits right by the check in counter.

Worst nail salon ever they kicked my mom out because she told them that her nails were too thick, didn’t even try fixing it or filing it to look better the guy said “Get Out” and pointing his finger at the door.I’ve had bad experience with this salon too one time i was there for 2 hours for the nails too look bad.

I FINALLY found a nail shop home! I started going to Future nails about two months ago after several horrible experiences at other butcher, I mean nail salons. My goal was to grow my own natural nails and I have finally achieved that thanks to the nail techs at Future Nails!!!! The name suits them well because they are up to date on the latest nail trends and have so many colors to choose from it’s unreal! I love it! The atmosphere is very homey and everyone is like family. I never had to wait long or at all bc they take walk-ins and appointments. I always get to watch a good movie or music videos which is fun and relaxing while I get serviced. I’ve had the pleasure of being serviced by Lena, Tree and Paul. Each one took great care of me! Paul is my current nail tech. He is such a cool guy and he is great at his craft, but from what I can tell, it doesn’t matter whose chair I sit in, I won’t disappointed, they support each other very well. I pass ALOT of nail salons driving from Hamtramck to Troy for my Future Nails, but it is soooo worth it! I highly, highly recommend!

Been going here for 15 years or so.. I moved out of state and every time i visit my parents i come here for my pedicures and am never dissatisfied. The service here is like coming to hang out with your family. The staff is cool and hip to the new trends. I’m so loyal to this nail shop i dont think i have found anyone who does my toes better than here. I highly recommend Tina, Stacy, Leon and Renee. Tina’s hubby is really good too but i forgot his name. Not to mention the price for pedicures and mani here is better than most and you get quality service. Definitely recommend coming here

So cruel. Blamed me for their horrendous manicure job. Accused me of trying to get my money back because I only needed them for “party.” “Party” I told her I had them done for was my mother’s funeral. Sickening.

Service is so so depending on the day depending on...well who knows. Some days, it's perfect highly recommended! Today ....quite annoyed, I walked out of the place with ashy hands after a manicure.
Seeking out another place...I'll come here push comes to shove.

I've been coming to Future Nails for about 5 months now and haven't been disappointed once! I always get a dip manicure. Youn Ah is the best! She is so careful with my nails and always takes her time. Their dip price is similar to everyone else in town and lasts me around 3 weeks. Give them a try!

When I went to this location i showed a picture of the nails i want and i got the complete opposite and when I would say something i would get ignored and that made me insecure of my nails because my nails always turn out beautiful thank u
