Absolutely worst for repair. Please read this before you make an expensive purchase like I did. My expensive table that was purchased 6 months ago was ruined accidentally by my child. I called Gormans for repair that I was charged $75 for, only to be told it’s too large of a piece for the warehouse. They don’t have room for it and there is only ONE person, ONE, who’s doing repairs for the stores and he just can’t do it. He’s already swamped and can’t squeeze my piece in for repair. To top it off, they told me to find a company that refinishes furniture and call them. They did not have referrals for me. Oh no, I can google for companies in the area, they said. WHAT? Are u kidding me? Why wasn’t I made aware of this when I purchased the table? If anything causes damage I’m basically SOL, because they can’t fix it and won’t. I’m beyond upset. How is this right?Tony, the man you’ll talk to when you call customer service, is no help at all either. Doesn’t have any answers or solutions. Gormans, with your prices, your customer service needs to improve tremendously. This is absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. Do better for your customers Gormans. I give service 0 stars

Ordered a sectional in July 2023. September 30, 2023 it arrived at the store. Store contacted me to get the remaining balance owed and schedule a delivery time and day. I stated I would be more than happy to pick it up myself. Store insisted on delivery. Scheduled delivery for Wednesday October 4, 2023 between 12:00pm and 3:00pm. On Tuesday October 3, 2023 in the evening, store confirmed delivery would be between noon and 3pm the next day. On scheduled delivery date, minutes prior to 3pm, I received a call stating that they couldn’t deliver by 3pm as they had scheduled and they wanted to reschedule it for later in the evening. Employee was rude and had an attitude when I conveyed I took the day off work and couldn’t wait around past 3pm as I had other scheduled responsibilities to attend to. Ultimately, I directed the store to issue me a refund and return the sectional. This became a hassle as well. I ultimately have to go pick up the refund check or wait for it to be mailed to me. They couldn’t refund the money via the Financial Transaction Device I used to purchase for some reason or another. On top of that, I suffered the loss of a day’s wages and several months waiting for a sectional to arrive, that the store couldn’t professionally deliver in a timely manner nor treat me with respect when they failed to deliver on time for the their scheduled delivery. Spoke with the president of Gorman’s, Duane Petroskey, whom refused to reimburse me for my wages i loss due to his employees incompetence. Now, I have to retain an attorney to file a lawsuit against Gorman’s for my loss of wages, months of missed opportunities to purchase a sectional from another store, and interest on my money. Beware of subpar customer service from Gorman’s personnel. Be prepared for Gorman’s employees to blame customers for their failures.***NOTE*** Additional information to my review. After I posted this review, Gormans replied to my review and their response is false. Not only did I pick the check up, but while picking the check up, I seen the sectional I ordered. The cost was approximately $9,200. They put it in their Clarence center proclaiming it was a $17,000 sectional that they were discounting to $8,200. Gormans is manipulative towards their customers just to gain a sale. This is ridiculous that a furniture store would do this to their customers and potential customers. I strongly recommend seeking furniture from a more reputable furniture outlet and doing further research on the internet prior to purchasing furniture.

Nancy A is an extraordinary interior decorator. She has made excellent recommendations and been very detailed with ideas for my home. I am not skilled in home decor so her advice has been very much needed and appreciated. I look forward to working with her.

Suffice it to say that furniture shopping is not my cup of tea. But, Christopher at Gorman’s can make it a delight. He provided the streamlined guidance and design consultation we needed. We are thrilled with our choices, the price point and service so far. Can not wait to bring the new pieces into our lair. ❣️

We were in constant communication with Nancy Pacella of the Gorman’s Furniture Troy, Michigan location. Nancy expertly guided us through the process of finding a replacement sofa bed for the one we had that was ruined due to a major sewer backup at our home. Nancy apprised us of a Ten Percent discount from the manufacturer on the sofa bed. She showed us fabric choices, leg colors and mattress choices.Nancy is the real deal. A genuine asset to the Gorman’s brand.

I'd never shopped at Gorman's before, but had a great experience with them while purchasing new furniture for my den. The designer I worked with, Nancy Pacella, was very helpful both when I knew exactly what I wanted, and even more so when I was trying to figure that out. I will definitely shop Gorman's again when I need furniture for my home.

Good grief! Just called for some information. The woman (Delores?) would not let me get a word in edgewise, spoke super fast, was absolutely obnoxious and clearly wasn’t interested in helping me at all. Felt like my ear just got chewed off by a buzzsaw. She never really understood what I wanted because she wouldn’t let me finish anything because she was constantly interrupting everything I was trying to say. It’s been a long time since I’ve run into someone so rude that I felt I needed to make a review. My head is still spinning… smh.

I was at Gorman’s last weekend with my husband to purchase a recliner for him. We were helped by Nancy Pacella and she was just wonderful! She was very helpful, personable, and just a joy to work with. If we need anything else, we will definitely go back there and ask for her help.

My husband and I worked with Nancy Eveslage at Troy Gormans to refurnish our living room. What is usually a stressful task given our differing tastes was quite enjoyable. We appreciated Nancy’s friendly manner, expertise and professionalism. She worked closely with us to match existing decor, find unique pieces and to solve a room layout issue we’ve struggled with for years. We love our selections and are excited to take delivery. We highly recommend Nancy and Gormans.

From the minute we walked in the door, we were cheerfully greeted and engaged by our sales associate, Deborah Johnston. She listened to my concerns and needs and proceeded to show me the options that she thought would fill my requests. My husband chose to take a seat in a comfortable chair while Deborah I did the leg work. I got it down to two choices, neither of which the hubs preferred and he suggested the chair he had been sitting in for some time and the matching sectional. Deborah proceeded to show me the options of how the sofa and chair would work in our great room plus the leather and other design details which made for the perfect pieces.We just took possession of our new furniture under the very capable and careful hands of Joe and his co worker , who did a wonderful job of placing it perfectly. I am sitting on my new sofa in my great room and I never want to leave. All around a great experience.Gorman's will always be my choice. Thank you to everyone.

I had the pleasure of working with Deborah Johnston of Gorman’s. She helped me select the fabrics for my new sofa and co-ordinating pillows. As an interior designer she pays a lot of attention to detail which helped enormously in the selection of fabrics for my new sofa.
