  I came back to Michigan after being in a southern state for several years and reconnected with my mortgage lender and dear friend Maria Labie. She was as warm, caring and professional as I remembered her with a top notch staff, Blake and Melissa. I came back to Michigan not really knowing want my future would hold but after talking to Marie she gave me the courage to make some decisions about reinvesting in a primary residence here. I started looking and low and behold a perfect condo came up. Maria and her team work very hard to walk me through the paperwork and made it truly easy right up to closing. I would highly recommend Maria Labie at Independent Bank. They are truly the leaders in lending noted by their knowledge and years of lending experience.

  The manager Shelly has no respect for customers. Attempted multiple times to argue and when I wouldn't go back and forth with her, she walked to her office and slammed her door. Not sure who thought she was a good representative of the bank. Everyone else seemed to be professional. Won't come back.
