The entire staff at this branch goes above and beyond to help their customers. They are friendly and helpful each and every time I go there. I have been a customer for many years, and will continue to be because of their excellent customer service. The manager, Jeremy, and all the rest of the staff get to know their customers and we appreciate it. The services they provide cover all of my needs.

I’ve been a member of LMCU for 20+ years, well before the credit union opened branches in SE Michigan. Since moving back to the Detroit area, I’ve been banking at the Troy branch where I met Jeremy, the branch manager since 2019. Jeremy is as solid as it gets in customer service and working financial solutions. From CD’s to loans, the Troy team are experts in their field, customer focused, and always make me feel like I’m the most important person in the room. I have to acknowledge Kristi, Poyni, London, Sarah and Suma. All super helpful and friendly. With great customer service and products like Max Checking, I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else for all of their financial needs.

Worst experience ever. I was helped by Cynthia to cash a check as a non-member. I have been here for 34 minutes so far sitting in her office waiting because she said it was a "process" since I wasn't a member. I understand if she has to call the person that wrote the check, I understand if there are a couple more hoops to jump through.. but making somebody wait 34 minutes with no update unless I went to go search for her, and give me an attitude because I am not understanding this outrageous wait time it's ridiculous and disrespectful. When I asked her for the check and my ID back, she said to me, "where else are you going to go cash it?" Like I did not have a choice let's deal with her disrespect. Meanwhile, she is at the drive-thru helping other customers and thinks I can't see her.

Worst bank possibly imagineable!!!!!! Feb 9th THEIR ENTIRE BANK SYSTEM WENT DOWN, DENIED FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS. EVEN THEIR PHONES RANG DEAD. With almost no explanation: they blame a power outage. A BANK THAT ONE CANT TRUST TO MANAGE MONEY NOR EVEN PROVIDE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.Lake Michigan Credit Union blames DTE with no care about how destructive their lack of service to customers is. I will be calling the federal trade commission and any news media outlet interested in hearing how hundreds of thousands of customers are disaffected by their subpar "service!!!!!

Matt was very transparent from the start (unlike a few I spoke with), an excellent communicator, and he answered all of our questions in a very timely manner. Their expertise and attention to detail made the financial aspect seamless and stress-free. From explaining complex terms with visual charts to match, to ensuring we secured a favorable rate, their dedication and professionalism truly stood out. Their turnaround time once we found a house was also very fast. We closed in less than the expected 30 days! They charge you $15 to make a payment with a debit card every time and $10 to make a payment with a checking's account every time. This is a really shady credit union. I would recommend doing business elsewhere.

Love this branch and everyone working here! Jeremy and his staff are always so welcoming and always go above! Must also mention how wonderful Suma was at my last encounter! They make you feel like family and actually care about you as a person, you’re not just a number like most of these other institutions. Highly recommend!
