This place is an institution! They've been around forever and the little lady that runs the shop is an icon! Just enough attitude to remind you that she's the boss, but with a special and personal touch! Love this place!!

The absolute best dry cleaner and garment alteration place. Have had multiple dress pants and shirts altered without any issues or problems with a perfect fit every single time. When I dropped of my Wool Coat with faux leather trim to be cleaned I asked if the leather trim would be okay. Yes they said - will be fine. The trim is all cracked now and pieces flaked off - ruined and I cannot wear. They tried to blame it on the quality of the product saying how cheaply made it was, etc and how designers should never mix the 2 fabrics - wool and leather - blah blah blah. They never once offered to stand behind their cleaning. Very poor customer service and I wouldn't recommend their service to anyone!

The only thing MEGA are the prices. I tried this place out as it is closer to home than my normal cleaners. A standard adult size dress shirt is about $6.00. Other places are almost 1/2 that price. Research prices before you shop.

I had a zipper replaced in a pair of shorts and paid about $17 for the repair. When I tried on the shorts, the zipper worked fine, but there were a few stitches just below the zipper that were missing, leaving a small hole. When I pointed out the issue, the woman who did the repair said that she worked only on the zipper, not the seam just below it. She offered to fix the small hole for an additional $9.50! I couldn't believe it. I wasn't aware of any hole in the shorts when I dropped them off. Even if there was a hole, it was in the same area she was working and would've taken only a couple stitches to fix it. Instead, she knowingly left the stitches undone, and didn't mention the hole. So, I had to make a trip back to the cleaners, only to have her ask for an extra $9.50 to fix the issue. Even if she was technically correct, and I don't know whether she was, I think it was a missed opportunity to do the right thing for the customer. We've used Mega cleaners for the last 10 years, without incident, but I'll have to think long and hard about going back after that kind of customer treatment.

I take all my stuff here. They are amaZing. I trusted them with my wedding dress, my baby baptism dress and much more. I take all of my expensive items here and I've never had an issue. They're very polite and fairly priced. I will never go anywhere else!

Excellent dry cleaners, the clothes look great. The owner is always there and will be honest if there is something she can't do. She is also an amazing seamstress. Her alterations are invisible. I've used them for more than 8 years.

This is a family owned business. They are amazingly polite and prompt with excellent results. Excellent seamstress too. She just fit a bridesmaid dress for me during COVID and it fit me amazingly and looks like when I bought it. I’ve used them extensively for almost 10 years.

I highly, highly, highly recommend and I don’t have enough praise for Jay, the owner of Mega Cleaners in Troy for ANY PROFESIONAL ALERTATION OR DRY CLEANING NEED! The name of this business certainly match their customers’ satisfaction, “Mega Happy” You will not be disappointed! I MUST SAY THAT my review is way overdue, I have been a customer for approximately 10 years, but hopefully this review is just in time for anyone who is in need of a swift simple fix to a beloved clothing item or to the most extreme revision of a garment, which most of all of my creations are from Jay! I can't say enough positive things about Jay and the incredible job she ALWAYS creates for me and my shopping habit. She truly goes above and beyond for all of her customers, you name the occasion she creates your vision with an alteration that is better than the manufacture’s design. Also, she is FAST!!!!! If a reasonable timeframe is requested of your item, Jay can meet your request.Honestly, in my opinion, JAY is better than any designer, seamstress, alteration professional that I have EVER met. Jay takes my vision of a design and absolutely creates a masterpiece. Jay is so kind, gifted, proficient, artistic, precise, flawless seamless funny, helpful and most of all patient with all of her customers! I probably visit Jay three times a month with new alterations, and NEVER once has she made me feel like I was being an overzealous fashionista! All of my alterations are SEAMLESS and flawless!
