I trusted Tom with a set of vintage mid-century modern cherry chairs, leather only no cushions, which made for a rather tricky job. He came back with perfect work at a fraction of the cost others had quoted me, and his work has held up very well for over a year now. Highest recommendation possible.

If I could leave less than one star, I would. Without a doubt, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. We got a quote to have a club chair reupholstered. The chair was picked up at the beginning of February and we were told it would take 4 weeks. 10 weeks later, he still hadn’t started it…hadn’t even touched it. The communication is absolutely HORRIBLE. Never proactively reached out to let us know there was a delay. Promised deadlines would pass without a word, we would text and receive one excuse after another. Can’t give any feedback on his workmanship as he didn’t actually do any work on my chair. I finally asked for my chair back and he dropped it off in my garage without a word or even a “sorry I couldn’t get to it”. Please take your business literally anywhere else. Worst experience.

Tom was very professional, he did an amazing job! I am very happy with the new look of my counter stools. I had three counter stools with a vinyl material and they were peeling off from the side. Tom is a true master of his craft and a professional. He was able to do the job in a week and his pricing was delightfully fair. The stools are more comfortable than before. I highly recommend "Tom upholstery" to family and friends. Don't look for anyone else in this area. You have your guy right here.

I had my interior headliner replaced by Tom in my truck 2 years ago. STILL waiting on him to finish the material on my visors and replace the one he broke........ I have called and texted him multiple times, I get the same answer "oh yeah I'm working on getting the replacement for you" . BAD BUSINESS!!!!! super disappointed....

I called today and was explaining what I needed to have done and I was told to get my thoughts together and call back in hour. Clearly I will never refer them to any of clients.

I had a really poor experience with Tom and was not going to leave a bad review, however, after seeing other customers with the exact same experience as myself I felt obligated as other potential customers deserve not to get screwed over. Over the course of 2020 I built out a camper van to move out West for work. For this van which has a convertible dinette/bed, I had to cut up an expensive memory foam mattress which I provided to Tom early November. These cushions had precise dimensions and it was made very clear they had to stay that way. Tom told me he could square off my cuts without losing those dimensions by adding fillers which I thought would be amazing. I had a deadline to leave January 1st which Tom said he couldn’t do, but could get it done by the end of the first week of January so I delayed my departure solely based on this. After dropping off my cushions and picking a material with one of his employees in the shop, I contacted Tom and he told me he’d get me a quote by the end of the week. I got no quote and he told me he was busy, which as a business owner myself, I understood. However, throughout November and December I contacted him on a weekly basis attempting to get a quote as I was not even informed of the material’s price when at the shop. As time went on I got quite frustrated and finally received my quote two months later on January 1st, a week before I was to leave. I was quoted $1350 which was out of budget but maybe I would have understood had this been said at the beginning. I understand the value of good work, which I’m sure Tom does, but the lack of communication put me in a position where I had no options. At that point I asked Tom if there was anything we could do to figure this out and he said to just take the cushions back in the rudest way I could have expected to receive as someone trying to do business. I got a bit agitated on the phone, which I later texted him for and apologized, to which he responded he would square off these cushions for free as my cuts had been a bit jagged. I made it very clear the dimensions were not to be changed, like I said before, because they need to fit precisely on these benches without gaps to form a comfortable bed. A week goes by and I go to pick up my unfinished cushions January 6th to arrive at the shop to the exact same cushions I dropped off. Tom came out front and took the cushions to square off as I sat in their lobby. Twenty minutes later I walked out and into the van to place the cushions to find the dimensions were changed resulting in multiple 5+ inch gaps, they obviously weren’t upholstered, and I was left with an unsleepable bed with a departure date of the next day. I tried to be understanding because 2020 was no normal year but after months of sleeping on this thing I’m still enraged at the horrible customer service, inconsistency, and complete lack of accountability. I know Tom will respond to this and come up with some excuses based on his responses to the other reviews but this is not an isolated incident and will happen to you if you’re not a massive client. It’s extremely frustrating to spend 5 months of time and money poured into a build only to have the most important part screwed up by the least professional professional I’ve ever experienced.

The worst experience ever. Tom promised to pick up our couch and complete by Thanksgiving 2020. We kept calling to ensure it was picked up for reupholstery. Once he picked it up we never heard back from Tom. We called to see if it was ready as promised for Thanksgiving- he said no he hasn't started it due to Covid. After getting over that disappointment, he said it would be ready in 2 weeks. He never called again. By Christmas still no couch with more and more excuses. He never once called us to make us aware of any timing delays. We were totally ignored. We decided to pull the plug and ask him to drop our couch off UNDONE. We had ordered specialty leather from another company (which Tom cut!?) so we are now out of $1500 and have an unfinished couch. When he dropped the couch off he offered an apology with MORE EXCUSES, but I simply told him there is ZERO reasons why he didn't call to communicate any delays or issues. He blamed the delays on COVID, other customers job's that he didn't want to do and etc.... TOM is simply unprofessional.

I bought a small beautiful table at an Estate Sale. It is perfect for a small space and my coffee. The top fell off when i barely touched it. The top is marble. Then i discovered it is a Bombay. I have a couple Bombays. A couple furniture repair places told me months. One told me to use liquid nails. I know it wont be level if i do i it. I sent photos to another. He told me it was wood. Feels like marble! I decided to call Toms upholstery. He came and picked it up. The top is marble. Theres a small spot that was wood. He put thought into it. He devised a plan. Very creative. He redesigned the place to fit the pedstal. Stronger than before! It was a challenging project. He designed from scratch! Thats super craftsmanship. Very proffessional and personable. Highly recommend!

I dropped by and left a BBQ cover that needed to be stitched up a bit. They did a good job. They would have got a five except the work was delayed a couple of times by a big job they had. Not a problem for me since I was not in a hurry for it. If you have a deadline discuss day one. Again the work itself was well done.

I had 2 chairs that needed to be restored. This was my first time restoring furniture, so I was unaware of pricing. I contacted multiple people and Tom seemed to have the best price. He had me text him a picture of the furniture and he instantly provided me with a price. I dropped the chairs and the ottoman's to the office and he measured the amount of fabric I would need and explained to me the type of fabric. After dropping the fabric to Tom, he gave me a time table of 3 weeks which is very reasonable for the amount of work the chairs needed. The finished product was Amazing and was more comfortable then the original chairs! Appreciate the great work Tom!
