Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp offers a comprehensive artistic experience for young individuals, catering to a wide range of interests and skill levels. The camp is known for its picturesque natural setting, providing a serene environment for students to immerse themselves in their chosen art forms. The instruction at Blue Lake is consistently praised, with reviewers highlighting the expertise and dedication of the faculty. Students have the opportunity to major in disciplines such as band, with ample opportunities to practice and perform in recitals and concerts. The recital halls are well-equipped, allowing for polished and enjoyable performances. While the accommodations may be considered rustic, the camp's charm lies in its ability to disconnect from technology and connect with nature, fellow campers, and the arts. The camp stores offer a delightful treat, such as ice cream, to enjoy during breaks. However, some reviewers note the challenges of long distances between classes and the lack of air conditioning in the cabins, which can be uncomfortable during warmer weather. The camp's diverse activities and strong sense of community are highly valued by attendees. Reviewers describe making new friends, participating in engaging recreational activities, and developing a deeper appreciation for their chosen art forms. The camp's commitment to providing a transformative artistic experience is evident in the enthusiastic recommendations from past participants.
This is our second year we sent our son. He loves it.

Yes it’s rustic, the water smells funny, the accommodations are sparse. But the people, the instruction, the chance to leave your electronics at home and connect with nature, each other, art, that’s the wonderful stuff.
