Sweethaven Resort is a quiet, secluded retreat located on a large, heavily wooded property. The resort offers a total old school camp vibe with rustic, quaint, and quirky cabins that are well-built, clean, and roomy. Cabins are nicely spread out for privacy and feature well-equipped kitchens, robust air conditioning, and screened-in porches; some also have hot tubs and grills. The owners are super friendly, accommodating, and helpful, having run the business for over thirty years. The beautiful grounds include a huge common play area with a climbing structure, swings, and toys, providing a safe area for children to play. For guests, there are hidden trails, a fire pit, and plenty of space to wander. The resort is dog-friendly and conveniently located near local grocery stores, a bakery, a gelato place, and a coffee shop. It is a short drive to Lake Michigan public beaches, including Warren Dunes State Park, which has a dog beach. The resort also provides loaner bicycles, beach chairs, and umbrellas. It is an ideal spot for a family getaway to reconnect or for a romantic, quiet retreat, offering family-friendly and couple-friendly activities both on the property and in the outlying areas.

Heron house was perfect for our stay in Union pier for our family reunion. Close enough to the beach to ride a bike ( of which they have loaners) nice morning walk around the 10 acre grounds or down to Black Currant Bakehouse for coffee and a pastry. Beautiful resort with wonderful amenities.

This place is so nice. The grounds are beautiful, plenty of privacy and the cabins are really comfortable. Can't wait to come back
